This official Touhou Project Inubashiri Momiji cosplay shoot primarily revolved around an autumn atmosphere, requiring substantial effort in preparation to achieve the desired effect. The wig is short, silver-white hair that required special attention to strand flow, maintaining fluffy, natural layers to pair with the two fuzzy animal ears on top for a full head silhouette, perfectly capturing the essence of a Kemonomimi girl. For makeup, red colored contacts were chosen to match the canon design, while eyeliner focused on portraying an alert yet spirited gaze. The outfit has rich layers—the white top features subtle jacquard texture, with weighted white pompoms sewn across the chest and cuff connections that sway gently while walking for a lively touch. The waist and cuffs feature maple leaf patterns in gold over red, while the skirt uses deep-purple patchwork trimmed with delicate white lace, fitting comfortably without feeling tight. To give the weapon and shield realistic heft, the props prepared were quite heavy. In particular, holding the hexagonal shield with a large maple leaf emblem alongside the black katana over extended periods put immense strain on my shoulders. Posing handsomely with the blade meant massaging sore arm muscles during breaks.

The location with Autumn Leaves and water allowed the photographer to utilize ambient lighting masterfully. The wooden bridge railing provided great support for leaning or sitting while defining prop silhouettes. Clear red contacts, crisp autumn weather, textured Japanese style cosplay fabrics, and hard weapon lines composed the visual core. Post-processing made restrained adjustments to color temperature and contrast to preserve cool autumn sunlight. Managing the fluffiness of animal ears, fabric textures, and overall lighting captured Momiji's role in Gensokyo, making this immersive character shoot deeply meaningful.
