[Hifumi cosplay] Refreshing Swimsuit Styling in a Pure White Aquatic Studio for Summer

Today I shot Hifumi's swimsuit look inside a pure white aquatic studio. I brought along the Sony A7C II body paired with the 24-70GM2 lens. This setup has always delivered rock-solid stability for portraiture; especially in such high-key indoor white environments, its faithful color reproduction and wide dynamic range saved me an immense amount of post-processing effort. During the shoot, I configured the Creative Look profile on the A7C II, resulting in remarkably clean, luminous skin tones straight out of camera that required virtually no extensive retouching. To stay true to Hifumi's 2D persona, hair and makeup received meticulous care. The wig was chosen in a long silver-grayish white, thinned out to create airy layers, tied into low twintails, and accented with miniature white wing hairpieces at the ends. A bright yellow halo rested overhead, accompanied by round black sunglasses perched across the forehead. To evoke that lazy vacation mood, wearing the sunglasses up on the hair rather than over the eyes added effortless chic. The outfit featured a blue-and-white two-piece swimsuit defined by black strapping and white ruffles. I dusted subtle body highlighter across my collarbones and shoulders so skin texture popped with radiant clarity. Warm orange-red contact lenses paired with peachy blush and glossy lips lent a lively, energetic feel. The venue was lined with white Roman pillars and classical sculptures framing a shallow circular pool. To prevent the frame from feeling sparse, the prop crew styled European silver platters, tea sets, and a fruit plate loaded with pineapple, while potted greenery in corners provided refreshing organic accents. Posing involved kneeling beside the pool or perching sideways on the stone ledge with fingers grazing my cheek. With swimwear, poses must appear effortless and relaxed. Gentle water reflections rippled across the scene, heightening the cooling summer water play vibe. Against a pure white backdrop, lighting gradations become critical; the lighting technician placed soft lateral fill to carve body curves and give the ruffles dimensional depth. The 24-70GM2 focal length offered great versatility in this space, zooming in for tight facial portraits and backing up to encompass sculptures and the full pool. The A7C II's AI autofocus tracked accurately when shifting stances or turning, with real-time Eye AF locking onto the eyes and drastically boosting shooting efficiency. Mid-session, I continually shifted positions—crossing legs, resting one hand forward, or gently flicking hair ends so the camera could capture candid motion. I also reached into the water so glistening droplets clung to my fingertips, anchoring the summer authenticity. Pure white backdrops can easily flatten, so in final adjustments I slightly vignetted the edges to keep visual focus centered on the swimsuit and facial mood. The straight-out-of-camera files boasted wonderful texture without convoluted color grading. From styling to staging, this shoot was crafted with dedication in a relaxed atmosphere, wrapping up seamlessly thanks to wonderful team synergy.
