This time, I bring you the Chalcedony & Ice Heart skin Cosplay photoshoot for Yin Ziping from Naraka: Bladepoint Mobile. The layers of this costume are incredibly rich; the main white tone paired with black trim and gray bow decorations not only preserves the character's agility but also carries a translucent quality of ice and snow. To recreate the crystal-clear feel of the Chalcedony & Ice Heart skin, we specially used a high-color-temperature cool white light source for lighting, which, combined with the white plum blossom branches and wooden screen in the background, creates a serene atmosphere of a winter courtyard.
The wig features a silver-gray gradient style crafted into double buns and a long back ponytail. Paired with the bows and white ribbons in the hair, it gives the overall silhouette a more three-dimensional feel. The black folding fan and white long staff in hand serve as props, allowing a smooth switch between elegant and heroic styles under different poses. During the shoot, the focus was on capturing Yin Ziping's gentle gaze as a healer, while not losing the charming playfulness of a young girl, so I tried sitting, kneeling, and standing-and-looking-back postures to give the frame a dynamic sense of breathing.
For the makeup, the eye look uses pale pink and silver fine shimmers to highlight the transparency of the eye color, and a natural pinkish lip color was chosen to keep the overall look refreshing and light. The combination of white over-the-knee socks and strappy gloves is also where the details lie; the wrapping method of the straps was adjusted several times to achieve an effect that is both slimming and not cumbersome. From costume tailoring to prop coordination and post-production color grading, this set stays as close to the game's original skin design as possible, while also incorporating some photographic ingenuity, such as spreading white gauze on the floor to increase soft light reflection, making the leg lines look softer. The most enjoyable part of doing cosplay is turning virtual 2D characters into real-life images step by step. Although this shooting process was hard work, seeing the final prints gives a great sense of accomplishment for this Chinese-style photography creation.
