From the moment I received this Misumi Uika costume, a lot of thought went into adjusting the details. The first thing I did was closely examine the overall pattern cut. The top features an off-the-shoulder long-sleeve design, with cutouts at the shoulders that precisely reveal collarbone lines. The layered white ruffles at the neckline are remarkably rich, bordered with black lace and polka dot patterns, and lined underneath with hidden red fabric as a contrasting pop of color that maxes out the details. The round brown gemstone adorning the chest, paired with the row of golden buttons below, gives off an exquisite texture under lighting.

Speaking of this ensemble, I have to highlight my favorite component: the brown leather corset. The corset features a crisscross lace-up design in front, which not only cinches the waistline visually, but also elongates body proportions beautifully. The material is a leather with a subtle sheen, hugging the body cleanly without restricting movement. The lower body was matched with black shorts bordered with gold embroidered patterns, while the white translucent skirt panels on the sides and back added an airy lightness to the whole silhouette.

To align with the twin concept of Uika and Hatsune, I specifically brought along two plush dolls dressed in the same matching outfits. The dolls are adorable; hugging them during mirror selfies instantly brought lively energy to the frame. Alongside the plushies, I brought a natural-wood acoustic guitar as a shooting prop. The warm wood tone of the guitar, set against this black, white, and red Vintage dress, created a quiet and subtly artistic mood.

For hair and makeup, I chose a bright blonde shoulder-length bob wig with cleanly trimmed straight bangs, styled with inward curls at the tips to stay closer to character designs. The contact lenses were purple. To give the eyes a clear, luminous look, an earthy base was layered with pink eyeshadow and blush, while the lip tint had a dewy, glossy finish, yielding a soft yet striking presence.

In terms of poses, I explored multiple perspectives. In the standing mirror selfies, the phone obscured the face but showcased the entire outfit, especially how the gray Stockings and black leather leg garters with metal buckles paired with glossy black stilettos flattered leg lines nicely. Later, I tried a kneeling pose on the floor, an angle that highlights the contouring grip of the corset and the tiers of the skirt hem from the side. Finally, I captured half-body close-ups strumming the guitar—holding it with both hands as the lens focused on the upper body, crisply capturing the chest jewel and neckline lace.

Sorting through these archive photos brought back fond memories of the styling and shooting experience. From every button and corset lace to wig grooming and makeup palettes, every step required patient fine-tuning. Even though the overall palette leans deep, the addition of red and white prevents it from feeling somber. The off-the-shoulder cut and cinching effect of the corset perfectly balance the visual weight of the long sleeves and dark colors. Whether in mirror selfies or full-body shots, this Misumi Uika Vintage dress styling faithfully portrays the character's nuances. I hope these photos allow everyone to see the care poured into every detail and look.
