[Kirari Momobami Cosplay] High Stakes in Kakegurui: Buying Your Gaze for 300 Million

"Your left eye—I bought it for 300 million." This line is the core emotional anchor of this shoot. Shot during Firefly ACG Expo, these Convention photos of Kirari Momobami focus on a cold, playful, yet powerfully imposing presence. To capture the character's spirit, I chose striking bright blue contact lenses and matching blue lipstick for makeup, paired with white side braids dangling on both sides and black hair accessories resembling cat ears to convey her unearthly, crisp sharpness.

Regarding attire, this red and black suit jacket has extremely high recognition. To maintain garment texture and crisp tailoring, the red and black contrast was specifically adjusted during post-processing. Beneath the jacket is a white dress shirt with a thin black necktie, featuring wide white ruffled cuffs peeking out from the spliced black cuffs of the jacket; this classical yet academy-style tailoring gives the posture a very neat look. The lower half features a black-gray-white houndstooth/fine grid pleated skirt, paired with black tights outfit elements and black loafers, fully recreating the character's classic uniform style from the anime.

For props, I used playing cards, a fine silver chain, and a student council identity tag with character branding. During the shoot, I displayed playing cards in various gestures—whether a mysterious gaze with an index finger resting lightly by my lips or confident poise with crossed arms holding cards, adding a stronger narrative feel of "gambling games" to the imagery. In photos 3 and 5, I pulled the fine silver chain with a relaxed, probing gaze, hinting that "the prey has entered the trap."

The shoot took place by a window with a raw, unfinished industrial style at the anime convention. Large floor-to-ceiling windows provided ample natural light, and the photographer skillfully utilized backlight and side-front light to create translucent highlights along the edges of my white hair. The unfinished raw wall and mottled cement floor created a striking contrast against the character's refined school uniform; this "ruin aesthetic" unexpectedly highlighted the character's opulence and presence. Since natural light on site was very intense, the photographer and I focused on color balance in post-processing—maintaining ambient clarity while deepening black tights details, emphasizing the main red, white, and black color scheme to give the overall picture a clean, bright, and cool look.

The photoshoot process at the convention went relatively smoothly, though the red and black suit paired with wide cuffs restricted poses somewhat, requiring a search for relaxed postures. Every time I do an Anime cosplay of such a powerful character, I need to find a state of "relaxed yet untouchable" before the camera. Though these are Convention photos, I am deeply grateful to the photographer for finding this quiet corner amidst a crowded convention environment, using natural light to capture crisp, high-quality shots. Post-processing adjustments kept the original light and shadow structure intact, preserving the realistic folds of the clothing fabric. I was thrilled to do a Kirari Momobami cosplay this time; from makeup to props to the final result, every effort went into capturing that hint of crazy yet elegant charm, hoping this photo set conveys the character's oppressive presence and unhurried composure.
