The character choice for this fan-made styling comes from Honkai: Star Rail's March 7th. She inherently possesses a quirky and playful personality, so while bringing this character to life, my main focus was amplifying her unique sense of dreaminess and cuteness. First off is this pink wig used for the set; to suit the fan-made concept, I specifically picked a soft pink with a matte texture and gave the bangs a two-tier trim. The yellow star hair clip on top and white flower accessories serve as the finishing touches, creating color harmony with the overall hairstyle and making the entire head styling resemble a tiny magical realm.

Tailoring had to balance head shape and face contours—too thin a layer would look slicked against the scalp, while too thick would make the head appear disproportionately large. I intentionally left several wisps of stray hair along the edges to frame the jawline and enhance the playful feel of short hair. The yellow star hairpin atop featured a plush velvet texture; compared to common acrylic stars, this material absorbs more studio lighting to present a warm matte texture. Additionally, three white petal-like hair decorations served as accents, balancing the dominant pink hue to keep the hair color from looking flat or overly expanded.

For makeup, I selected light blue contact lenses to deepen the gaze, unifying with the choker's blue tone. To give the face a more pronounced 2D anime aesthetic, I applied an orange-toned lipstick layered with lip gloss, avoiding a heavy look while creating a subtle warm-cool contrast with the pink hair. For eye makeup, I slightly emphasized the inner eyeliner and paired it with subtle shimmer eyeshadow, allowing the eyes to radiate March 7th's cheerful yet mischievous vitality during the shoot.

To define eye contours more clearly, I applied natural upper and lower false eyelashes, slightly tilting the outer eyeliner upward. This ensured my gaze stayed vibrant even under intense camera flashes. Brows were drawn soft, thin, and straight to soften any sharp look and make the expression more approachable. Blush was swept beneath the eyes and outward across the cheeks, yielding a delicate flush resembling a post-exercise glow that perfectly matches her energetic personality.

For clothing, I chose an off-the-shoulder ruffed design, which visually elongates the neck line and serves as an iconic element in Magical girl outfit genres. The light blue fabric across the chest and cuffs featured cream-yellow pleated lace trim; this material combination imparted soft visual layering under studio lights, completely breaking any monotony. The light blue velvet choker around my neck was a favorite detail, with its golden pendant catching light exceptionally well.

I paid special attention to neck spacing; the off-the-shoulder design prevented the neck area from looking cramped. Beyond the choker, I picked a pair of light blue dangle earrings as accents. Small subtle gathers were added at the shoulder color seams to boost 3D dimension, ensuring natural chest and shoulder contours from front angles. Beyond easily overlooked shoulder straps, the outfit featured waist-cinching tailoring to fit body lines snugly.

The handcrafted magic wand prop played a major role in this shoot. Its top features a wing-like shape made from oversized pink and white plush, decorated below with pearl chains and light purple ribbons. Lightweight in hand, it swished easily into fluid arcs across various poses. Paired with white feather wings on my back, the overall playfulness and dreaminess of the look reached new heights.

When matching the prop wand with the outfit, weight balance was essential—too heavy would compromise holding postures. Therefore, lightweight materials were selected, wrapping the long handle in glossy pink stickers. The top stacked layered translucent pink and light blue gauze into a giant bow with a small metal gem emblem embedded at its center. Wing-shaped plush decorations were attached separately to allow lively motion with every gesture rather than remaining stiff. Hand-assembled from scratch, the final result felt immensely satisfying.

The shooting environment was quite constrained with limited room lighting, so I utilized single-sided lighting paired with soft light reflectors to soften facial shadows gently. Post-processing added twinkling star symbols and light effects, enriching photo layering while obscuring background clutter to lock visual focus squarely on the subject. Although this fan-made styling diverges from her official default design, I preserved March 7th's bright, optimistic spirit. From wig color selection to wand poses and playful winking expressions, every detail aimed to convey her signature energetic aura.
