Shooting this Shenhe cosplay took place at the GSCG Kunming Anime convention. The foot traffic on-site was heavy and the light was rather harsh, making backlit Photography the dominant tone of these photos. Regarding the costume, the deep blue fabric paired with gold embroidery and red tassels carries a substantial, weighty texture, requiring careful angle adjustments to achieve the best visual effect. Styling the white wig was a real challenge, demanding styling hairspray to craft eye-catching layers. In terms of makeup, blue-grey colored contacts and orange-red lips were key, paired with winged eyeliner to accentuate an aloof and cool presence. During the shoot, a pale blue oiled paper umbrella served as a prop, which both shielded against harsh glare and enriched the layered composition of the frame. Because the collar design of the outfit is rather distinctive, constant attention to posture was needed to ensure the neck and shoulder lines were showcased gracefully. Although the surrounding environment was somewhat cluttered, dodging the crowd and utilizing backlighting allowed the finished photos to faithfully recreate the essence of this Genshin Impact character. In post-processing, adjustments focused primarily on lighting—lifting the shadows and applying soft-focus diffusion to diminish background distractions, granting the overall frame richer ambiance. The Photography experience at this Anime convention was wonderful; the fellow enthusiasts I met on-site were incredibly friendly, and we captured several angles that I am thoroughly satisfied with.
