[Kamisato Ayaka cosplay] Genshin Impact Shirasagi Himegimi's Garden Stroll at Jiusong Jingshe

Today I am sharing the finished Anime cosplay photoshoot of Kamisato Ayaka in her default outfit from Genshin Impact. The shoot took place at Jiusong Jingshe, where outdoor temperatures reached nearly 36 degrees Celsius. We chose this venue because its rich classical garden features—rockeries, stone lanterns, pine trees, and ponds—fit the Japanese aesthetic flawlessly. The outfit's layering is quite intricate: the outer light-blue wide-sleeved coat features gold trim, worn over a black leather-textured cuirass centered with a golden hexagonal crest. The thick pink cord knot and tassels at the waist serve as the key visual focal point, paired with a dark blue printed pleated skirt on the lower half and white tabi boots set into black platform geta. The silver-white blunt-bang wig is tied on both sides with pink ribbon bows; paired with blue contact lenses and reddish eyeshadow, the makeup demanded strong dimensional definition to withstand the outdoor daylight.

To match the character's demeanor, the props included a folding fan, a fox mask, a katana, and a guqin. During the shoot, gestures like opening the folding fan or using it to partially veil the face guided visual focus beautifully. When brandishing the katana, poses needed to convey a touch of strength, while the draping sweep of the kimono sleeves enhanced the frame's kinetic tension. To craft the right ambiance on set, smoke tablets and snow effects were utilized alongside full-blast mist machines. Enduring so many heavy layers under the scorching heat while keeping movements graceful and expressions controlled was truly an endurance test. For instance, when sitting along the stone bridge by the water framed by mist and lotus leaves, constantly shifting my balance was necessary to avoid wetting the fabric while managing leg angles and the spread of the skirt.

Throughout the courtyards of Jiusong Jingshe, leaning against stone lanterns or sitting serenely along the bridge allowed me to showcase the costume's nuances through varied stances. When holding the fox mask, my gaze echoed the mask's mystical allure, whereas plucking the zither strings called for a poised, tranquil state. The black cuirass fit snugly to sculpt the silhouette, while the dark blue skirt displayed different flares in seated versus standing poses. When highlighting leg lines, I paid close attention to light direction and background clarity to prevent visual clutter.

Although the entire process was marked by intense heat and sweat, watching the mist and snow effects create a serene, chilling aura on camera provided a magical contrast to the sweltering day. From donning the garments and handling the props to immersing into the scenery, every phase required precise control. This on-location Genshin Impact Kamisato Ayaka series fully achieved my envisioned effect, both in the costume's rich texture and the courtyard's poetic atmosphere.
