[Ichigaya Arisa cosplay] BanG Dream! Tsundere Junior's Uniform Daily Life - Image 1

Every time I cosplay Ichigaya Arisa, I find something to nitpick about, and I'm really speechless at myself. To be honest, I adjusted the wig styling for quite a long time this week. Her iconic blonde twin tails required a lot of patience in trimming the bangs and sideburns. To secure those two black crossed-line hair clips on both sides without ruining the overall flow of the wig, I spent a lot of time using hairspray to set it, trying to make the hair strands look more natural.
The focus of this makeup was on the eye makeup. I chose light gold-brown contact lenses to make the pupils look less aggressive. The eyeshadow used a touch of orange-pink as a base, and the eyeliner and eyelashes were specially treated, drawing the lower eyelids to add a bit of innocence, wanting the gaze to better fit her tsundere and somewhat unyielding vibe. The blush was placed slightly higher to add energy. Although I always feel it didn't completely recreate the ideal cuteness, I really tried my best to polish the details. I am also very satisfied with the texture of the costume: the brown long-sleeved jacket is paired with a white-based, black-edged sailor uniform collar, and the red bow on the chest is the visual center of the entire styling. It's tied a bit large, but I think it's very accurate to the original. The metal buttons on the clothes also have a good texture, showing a natural luster when taking photos.
When wearing this outfit to take photos, I unconsciously wanted to imitate her usual expressions. She is actually a girl with a very soft heart but a sharp tongue; she is usually a bit tsundere, but very caring towards her friends. I pondered the photo poses for a long time—resting my chin on one hand while looking at the lens with a slight sense of scrutiny, without wanting to look too aggressive. The background and lighting were also kept as everyday and natural as possible, just like how she usually is at the pawnshop or school. Every time I tackle a character that is so important to me, I always feel anxious and worried, thinking the makeup isn't exquisite enough, the wig isn't natural enough, or the clothing creases are wrong. However, every time I finish, I feel that next time will definitely be better.
The shooting process this time was still very enjoyable. Although I verbally complained that I looked bad, in my heart, I truly love this character. The most interesting part of cosplay lies in the continuous process of challenging and trying; even if there are regrets every time, seeing the final product still brings a sense of accomplishment. Regarding this Ichigaya Arisa uniform, I personally feel it can be further refined, such as the texture of the wig hair flow and the cut of the outfit; if I cosplay her again next time, I must research it thoroughly. In fact, preparing all these details each time is also a process of re-understanding the character. Above are just some rambling thoughts and small styling details from this Ichigaya Arisa cosplay.
