[Arknights cosplay] White-Haired Girl Feature Photoset in a Japanese-Style Studio

Preparing for this Arknights shoot was full of intriguing details right from the initial styling.

White hair paired with red ribbon hair accessories is visually striking on its own. With the makeup artist's assistance, the wig was layered with care, which, combined with the red-and-white outfit, gave the overall look a very strong silhouette. The fabric of this costume is quite unique: lightweight white gauze on the upper body, red diamond-patterned fabric in the middle, and a very fluffy plush shawl wrapped around both arms, lending a rich, heavy texture. Regarding accessories, the black choker, armbands, and black thigh garters created a compelling contrast between rigid accessories and the softness of plush.

The shoot was set in a realistic studio steeped in rich Japanese aesthetics (Japanese-style photoshoot). The floor featured dark wood grain, and on the left were translucent paper lattice sliding doors where natural light softly diffused through. Beside them stood meticulously pruned bonsai pine trees and paper lanterns glowing with warm yellow light on the floor, while on the right was a dark wooden tea table with tea sets. The background wall showcased giant three-dimensional white flowers and flying white birds, making the overall atmosphere exceptionally cohesive.

To complement this look, I held a long black pipe prop with a gold-accented tip. This prop served as an excellent visual guide during posing. The photographer wanted me to project an aura of elegance tinged with a hint of allure. In the third photo, I sat sideways on the floor with knees slightly overlapping, which showcased the leg lines beautifully. Paired with thigh garters and high heels, the calves appeared remarkably slender. The photographer adjusted the lighting repeatedly, using the natural light from the left as the key light and the lanterns on the right as warm fill, making the skin texture translucent and three-dimensional.

Throughout the shoot, finding the most comfortable side-sitting angle took multiple attempts. Every head turn, lowered glance, and hand gesture had to be carefully weighed—especially the grip on the pipe, which needed to look natural yet firm without obscuring facial contours. Midway through, we also added bust close-ups to capture the expressive nuance in the eyes.

In terms of post-processing, since I personally prefer warm vintage tones, the overall color grading leaned warm. We enhanced the contrast between the red ribbon and white hair, subtly introducing cool tones into shadows to give the image a sophisticated, premium aesthetic. Meticulous skin retouching was also performed to amplify the overall softness and grace for this Girl photography piece.

This Daily shoot experience was immensely enjoyable, thanks not only to the meticulous costume and prop preparation, but also to the photographer's precise mastery of light and shadow. It was a unique exploration that let me experience the wonderful chemistry between natural light color temperatures and costume styling in a specific setting. All in all, this was a complete visual presentation, with every step from outfit coordination and set design to post-processing striving for seamless harmony.
