Just received the convention photos of Officer Liang, this trip to the Guangzhou Firefly ACG Expo was totally worth it! This time I cosplayed Liangyue from Reverse: 1999. From the tailoring of the outfit to the metal buckles of the accessories, every detail tries to restore the character's aura as much as possible. The black uniform paired with a white shawl and plaid skirt, plus the iconic headpiece and long ponytail, gives off a cold and introverted feeling when standing still. However, the moment I strike a combat starting stance, the character's dynamic tension instantly comes alive. The laces of the boots and the texture of the gloves also performed very well under the lens. Massive thanks to the photographer for capturing that exact moment of the high kick. Since the costume material itself is relatively stiff and restricted by the leg rings, executing smooth movements was actually quite a test of physical coordination; I even practiced the motion framework several times before the shoot. The lighting at the convention venue was quite complex, but the transparency and contrast between light and dark in the final photos exceeded expectations, perfectly reflecting the depth of the black and the silver reflections. Honestly, every time I cosplay characters with a combat-oriented style, I reinforce the soles of the shoes and the joints—after all, walking around all day while ensuring the posture doesn't lose its shape is tough. Being able to present a favorite character in this way and connect with fellow fans is an incredibly joyful thing in itself for this piece of Cosplay photography.
