[Hyacinthia Cosplay] The Sweet Mage of Honkai: Star Rail — Another Day of Being Charmed by My Own Cuteness!

The moment I put on this Hyacinthia outfit and stood before the set, I felt as if I had truly stepped out of the 2D world. The pink twin tails wig was custom-made; the hair fibers are incredibly soft and tangle-free. The little red beret and white bow on top of my head were securely fastened, so they wouldn't slip even when I squatted down or turned my head. The ruffled collar, the white-and-red dreamy dress jacket, and the giant sky-blue bow on the chest create rich layers. Yet, it actually feels much lighter to wear than expected because the skirt has an inner lining and built-in puffiness, allowing it to spread out naturally when sitting down without looking bloated.

What I'm most proud of is the staff in my hands. The blue sphere looks exceptionally translucent under the reflector, and the craftsmanship of the gold frame is extremely delicate. The grip length is just right, making it easy to hold with either one hand or both. During the shoot, I tried many angles—like resting the staff diagonally on my shoulder or cradling it in front of me with both hands, as shown in the photos. Every pose blended naturally into this beautifully built, dreamy little set.

A lot of effort went into the set design this time. A semi-open frame was constructed with curved gold metal stands, topped with a soft gray-violet carpet, with translucent white lace curtains hanging behind it. The light filtering through created a soft diffuse reflection, so my face barely needed any extra fill light. On the left, a golden multi-tiered dessert stand was loaded with cupcakes and macarons; although they were just props, their colors perfectly complemented the red outfit and pink hair. On the right, there was a white angel statue and a fluffy unicorn plush. The entire scene achieved a fairytale sweetness while preserving the character's playful and lively nature.

I pay great attention to detail, so I specifically chose shiny black patent leather shoes paired with white knee-high socks and red bows at the ankles. These subtle elements hidden under the hemline would naturally peek out when sitting down, adding to the photo's refinement. During the shoot, I also made sure to smooth out the socks and adjust the reflections on the shoes to ensure a unified visual presentation.

For Hyacinthia's makeup, I chose a sheer, natural base and focused on the eyes. I used light blue contact lenses paired with a touch of soft pink eyeshadow, slightly elongating the outer corners to make my eyes look round and bright. This perfectly fit the character's innocent yet slightly mysterious temperament. For the lips, I used a nude pink shade to avoid clashing with the outfit's colors.

Although the shoot required frequent pose adjustments and keeping the wig tidy, standing in this meticulously decorated scene made every shutter click incredibly satisfying. Especially when the photographer took snapshots from various angles, I could clearly feel myself slipping into character. That kind of immersion is something many other types of shoots simply can't provide. Whether sitting on the floor laughing relaxedly or tilting my head slightly toward the camera, every frame felt like a still poster taken directly from the game.

For the post-processing of this shoot, we didn't use excessive filters. We mainly preserved the original soft lighting of the scene and the true colors of the outfit, only slightly brightening the shadows to make the contours of the white hair and plush toys clearer. While I believe accuracy is crucial in cosplay, I hope everyone can see the warmth and energy of the character that I tried to convey in front of the camera. All in all, it was an incredibly joyful and satisfying shoot, and I hope these Hyacinthia photos bring you a sweet sense of healing.
