[Sui family cosplay] Arknights: Sui Family Outdoor Team-Building Group Photo

The experience of shooting this Sui siblings group photoshoot was incredibly authentic and fulfilling. Everyone gathered starting in the morning for styling; to faithfully recreate such a vast and intricate family lore, styling the wigs and setting makeup alone took nearly half the day. Everyone had numerous outfit details, and wearing the tails and ears in particular took considerable stamina. The midday sun was quite intense, so we took advantage of the prime lighting conditions to repeatedly adjust our positions and poses across the park lawn and wooden bridge.

Since it was an ensemble shoot, the photographer put immense thought into composition and standing arrangements. We split into several groups across the lawn, with some standing and others seated, synchronizing our eye lines and gestures to maintain the characters' tsundere pride and mystery while conveying an intimate bond. There were plenty of props as well: polearms and swords felt heavy in hand, while fans and hand lanterns required delicate handling. The combination of red-and-white short skirts and black-and-blue dresses in the middle, paired with thigh-high Cosplay stockings and thigh straps, was truly the optimal solution within the physical constraints of this Outdoor photography shoot.

Although running around the lawn and wooden bridge under high temperatures was exhausting and left our legs aching—and walking on grass in high heels and tall boots made slipping easy—seeing the finished photos made it feel like that 'dreamlike family' atmosphere was captured perfectly. Everyone gathering for the same theme, fixing each other's hems, passing water and props, and brainstorming poses made for a joyful shoot.

A great photography team and professional composition certainly elevated this set, capturing vivid moments whether in close-up interactions or line-ups along the wooden boardwalk. We also accumulated valuable experience during this shoot; for instance, large-scale ensemble shoots require planning positions and poses in advance to avoid crowding outside the frame. The painstaking hair and makeup effort and physical exertion ultimately paid off with satisfying final photos. Given the chance in the future, I would love to go out and enjoy another Sui family cosplay shoot with this amazing team.
