My luck in the Canyon has been a bit rough lately, and during a losing streak, I was even roasted by teammates saying, "Playing this poorly, you might as well go play Candy Crush." Fine, no bow today—I'm coming to the beach to be Ah Li on vacation.
The look I tried this time is a derivative style leaning toward a summer beach vibe. The blue-and-white color scheme looks extremely refreshing visually. The top is a spaghetti-strap crop top spliced with a layer of semi-transparent blue ruffles on the outside, and the bottom skirt is a layered, irregular pleated skirt. The fabric was specially chosen to have a subtle pearlescent effect, which casts a water-like sheen under the refraction of the sea breeze and sunlight.
Ah Li's soul elements are, of course, her ears and umbrella. To make it a bit cuter, the headband features fluffy white bunny ears with a faint pink tint on the inside, and the wig was carefully styled with pink twin-tails and blunt bangs, accented by a small cartoon hairpin on the side. The long-handled umbrella with a white background and red rim in my hand is a specially selected prop, featuring a simple cartoon smiling face on the canopy. To increase the overall completeness, a white fluffy bunny tail was also worn behind the waist.
Shooting by the sea wasn't as easy as imagined. Direct sunlight aside, the sea breeze was exceptionally strong, and holding the umbrella almost got blown over several times while I had to struggle to maintain my smile and posture. To capture this set of looking-back photos, I knelt halfway on the beach and repeatedly adjusted my angles, getting sand all over my clothes and lower legs.
In terms of makeup, to match the overall color scheme, the eye makeup used pinkish tones paired with blue colored contacts, and relatively prominent blush was applied to the cheeks and nose tip. Although I might often be an ATM in the game, holding an umbrella and looking at the sea view by the beach feels like scoring a win back.
