This photoshoot was chosen in a Chinese garden; the blue tiles, white walls, corridors, and pavilions over the water match Zhen Ji's cold yet gentle temperament exceptionally well. The costume is a customized gradient pink and white ruqun. A lot of thought went into the dark pattern embroidery on the cuffs and waist seal; to restore the flowy feel from the game, very light chiffon was selected for the fabric, which creates a natural drape when walking. The lotus and pearl chains of the headpiece were hand-strung, and the ruby pendant was specially sourced in a similar color; though it has a bit of weight to wear, the resulting effect is truly worth it. For the prop, the flower branches and birds on this round fan were designed by a painter I found and then printed onto it; holding it in hand just happens to cover half of my face, building a slightly elusive atmosphere. During the shoot, sunlight happened to spill down through the leaves, and the photographer caught that side-light angle—there was no need to deliberately look for a gaze, just following the light to look into the distance worked beautifully. The makeup leaned plain and neat, only elongating the eyeliner, and a coral red was selected for the lip color to keep it subtle. Actually, the champion Zhen Ji gives a feeling of 'stillness' in the game, so I didn't do large movements for the final photos; leaning against the railings, looking down, or staring straight ahead, the emphasis was on emotional delivery rather than posing. This set of photos took about three weeks of preparation from makeup finalization to the actual shoot, and I hope everyone can see the classical artistic conception we wanted to express.
