[Vivian Cosplay] Zenless Zone Zero's Part-Time Queen Open for Business Today

This Zenless Zone Zero Vivian costume took a lot of thought from test makeup to formal shooting, and today after organizing the photos, I'm sharing this presentation directly. The lines about being the \"part-time queen\" and \"paying the electricity bill for Phaethon\" fit the character's tone well—with a touch of tsundere and responsibility. Putting on this outfit required me to bring out a bit of presence as well.

Sharing some outfit details. The white ruffled top forms the main upper body section. The fabric feels great, and the pleated cuff design creates dynamic motion with every movement. The black corset belt worn outside is key to this cosplay outfit; it not only secures the body shape for a more 3D silhouette, but the silver rhombus pendants and metal buckles on it also add a sharp edge. The black-and-white bow tie around the neck is essential, echoing the overall black-and-white base tone.

The lower body features a black-and-white color-blocked pleated skirt paired with opaque black tights. Choosing tights is always a tradeoff in cosplay: too sheer reflects light easily, while too thick affects the visual leg line extension. This time I chose a medium-thickness style that shows color evenly under studio lights. The black lace-up high heels on my feet have a crisp boot shape, with dark navy-black shafts and silver buckles at the ankles visually elongating the calf proportion.

For the wig and accessories, purple wavy hair matches the classic traits of an anime girl character. Spending time untangling the fluffy, curled strands avoided looking frizzy on camera. The massive dark blue striped bow headband on top is eye-catching, and the position of the elf ears was adjusted several times to settle at an angle that naturally blends with the hair.

For the shooting environment, we chose a simple white studio background, as pure background colors maximize highlighting character makeup and styling. I picked a gold-rimmed dark wood vintage chair; the curve of the backrest complemented the elegant sitting pose nicely, perfect for showcasing the character's aloofness and laziness. To capture Vivian's composed vibe, I tried various sitting poses, like an elegant cross-legged pose and a diagonal composition with one leg extended.

A static pose like in the first picture, or extending the legs like in the second picture, produces different visual effects. Hand gestures were also subtly designed, such as gently raised fingers or slightly spread hands, using nail details to add a touch of playfulness. The soft studio light sources were handled very well, rendering the sheen on the black corset and the light-dark transitions on the white shirt naturally without overexposure or dead shadows from harsh lighting.

The biggest takeaway from trying this character's cosplay this time was mastering posture control with such retro, ornate clothing. Having shot many modern daily anime girl characters before, switching to a style with strappy elements and ruffles required emphasizing the extension of body movements. Especially the texture of the black tights created delicate light-shadow contrast under studio lighting, which really helped present leg lines.

Since the original post mentioned paying electricity bills, I tried my best to stay close to a fresh, lively image—a bit tsundere, confident, yet with a daily feel. Every shoot isn't just as simple as putting on clothes; early wig styling, costume trim details, shoe choices, and even ear accessory angles impact the final frozen frame.

Especially for 2D fantasy style characters, accuracy is important, but turning a 2D character setting into a living person requires the cosplayer to express it before the camera. This handsome yet ornate outfit paired with the elf ear setting is visually distinct. I hope this studio photoshoot share allows everyone to see my dedication to this character's styling.

Among the four organized photos, my favorite are the two with one leg extended, extending leg lines naturally through diagonal composition and lace-up boot details for a slender visual effect.
