For this Demon King style look of Owari, the most challenging part during the shoot was actually the balance between the horn accessories and the feathers. The massive curved horns with a black patent leather texture paired with a pentagram pendant, along with the purple feathers cascading down one side, could easily distort the visual center of gravity. Therefore, we specifically chose top-side backlighting to let the edges of the white hair shimmer, while using a softbox to illuminate the face, ensuring the golden glints in the amber pupils clearly convey the character's detached yet powerful aura. I modified the leather neck straps and the criss-cross chest straps myself to fit Owari's original costume structure while adding the heavy presence of a demon king. The lace on the cuffs is double-layered, black on the outside and white on the inside, revealing the slender wrist lines when raising my hands. It was actually very hot in the studio that day, and the wig net pinched my scalp until it felt numb. But seeing that cold yet slightly tipsy expression in the final photos made it all feel worth it. The difficulty of this look lies in preserving the inherent elegance of the Azur Lane shipgirl while injecting the aggressiveness of the demon king theme. Therefore, I kept my expression controlled with a slightly tucked jawline; there was no need to deliberately slant my eyes—just staring straight at the camera could dominate the entire frame. The patchwork of the fabric uses a contrast between matte and high-gloss leather, combined with a cut-out design woven with straps, keeping the overall look from feeling dull. I hope this set of photos allows everyone to see another possibility for Owari in a Dark Gothic style. Cosplay itself is about exploring more facets of a character, and this time, I chose to present her in a sharper way through this session of Cosplay photography.
