From bringing the concept of swinging in the clouds to life to finally getting the finished photos, the entire shooting process was much more demanding on scene restoration and prop coordination than imagined.

Deciding to shoot this style extending from the \"Bloom Before Dawn\" inspiration in Infinity Nikki, the main highlight of the preparation stage was the huge balloon installation. To give the low-angle shots sufficient suspension and tension, a large \"hot air balloon\" hanging chair was assembled on site with supports, adorned with twenty to thirty matte balloons in various color combinations. Once actually sitting on it, not only was core strength required to maintain posture, but I also had to work with air currents to let the costume and wig flutter naturally, posing quite a test for detailing.

As for the outfit, the layered light blue and white skirt hem felt extremely lightweight, while the bow knot at the waist and red-and-white ribbons enhanced the overall visual depth. These pink platform shoes paired with the white thigh-highs outfit against the backdrop of blue sky and water elongated my leg proportions visually while highlighting the adorable feel of the look. To recreate the dreamy atmosphere, the prop team also stitched translucent pearlescent sequins and ribbons onto the skirt hem and shoes, which glittered like flowing starlight whenever the wind blew past.

The weather on site was actually a huge help. We chose a water body with clear reflections and an observation deck with glass railings. Although intense sunlight around noon was dazzling, combined with high reflections off the water, it created a natural softbox effect. When shooting upward angles, the photographer lowered the camera position significantly—partly to use giant white clouds as the upper backdrop, and partly to capture the massive volume of the balloons overhead. The twin-tail wig featured a pink-to-beige gradient dye; this long straight hair yielded wonderful linear fluidity in the moving breezes.

During practical execution, many factors couldn't be fully anticipated beforehand. For instance, balloons easily produced harsh glare under strong outdoor sunlight, requiring constant micro-adjustments of camera angles to dodge blown-out highlight spots. Another example: while sitting on the swing, the fur tone of the teddy bear plushie in my arms created color shifts against my dress under blue-tinted lighting, demanding delicate color temperature control during post-processing. In fact, large-span low-angle cosplay photos like these demand significant physical control from the model, particularly to project a light, effortless sense of ease.

As an enthusiast engaged in character roleplay and photography daily life, I place great value on the texture and details of every final image. This scene wasn't just someone putting on a costume and standing there; it was the result of outfit, environment, lighting, and facial demeanor fusing together. From the straps at the balloon's lower edge to the tiny bow knots on the shoelaces and the fluttering blue-and-white ribbons, every detail prepared beforehand ultimately melted into the overall atmosphere of the frame.

Being able to recreate such a high-saturation, bright-styled piece was a truly fun photography experience. From the blue tones of daytime to the warmer hues as the afternoon sun approached the ridge line, we captured many unexpected layers. For us cosplayers who love photography, every frozen frame is a deep dialogue with the character and the scene.
