Sharing my Honkai Impact 3rd Elysia Cosplay photoshoot, focusing primarily on presenting the overall texture of the pink wedding dress design. The outfit features multiple layers of translucent white-and-pink tulle with a pinkish lining, creating a strong sense of airy transparency. The wavy hem of the skirt flows naturally with every step. The blue ribbon at the waist is fairly structured, and cascading down with a golden triangular emblem, it accentuates the waistline perfectly. The purple rose and delicate chain at the neckline were attached separately, which took some extra time on details. Translucent mini bows on the sleeves along with thin pink ribbons also add to the overall lightness.
The head styling was the highlight. The wig featured a pink base transitioning to white tips, which, paired with makeup for the elf ears, gave the facial contours more depth. The golden vine tiara, the purple twig accessory on one side, and the white veil in back faithfully captured the character's girlish charm. For the makeup, I intentionally enlarged the eye proportions, subtly diffusing the eyeshadow outward and wearing high-translucency colored contact lenses to soften the gaze.
The shooting location for this Outdoor shoot was in front of an outdoor red brick wall. The parked white car and metal fence nearby are common elements, but applying a shallow depth of field effectively minimized distractions. Reflectors were used throughout the shoot to ensure bright, flattering facial lighting. My favorite is definitely the third photo: positioning against the light created a striking rim light from the strong backlight behind me, making the white tulle look beautifully translucent. This look includes a White thigh-highs outfit; in photo three, taking a seated pose while slightly lifting a leg, paired with the white-and-purple rose bouquet and white gloves, beautifully showcased the leg lines and upper-body curves for a balanced composition. We adjusted the pose repeatedly to make sure I wasn't jammed against the edge of the frame and that my hand gestures looked completely natural.
The first photo is a standing shot lifting the skirt hem, showcasing the dress's volume and neckline detailing—the expression is softer than in photo three, but the overall frame is very clean. The second photo features a front-facing composition holding the bouquet, highlighting the prop and frontal garment details. Running around during an Outdoor shoot requires careful movement since the voluminous skirt needs rearranging whenever sitting down. In post-processing, the cool tones of the sky and brick wall were subdued to make the subject's pink tones pop, with a subtle grain added for a filmic texture.
This outfit has extensive craftsmanship details, with clean finishes on the sheer tulle edges. It was exhausting to wear, but looks stunning on camera. Overall, this Anime-style photoshoot went very smoothly. Finding the best angles in front of the lens takes constant trial, and the final photos truly convey the intended ambiance of this look.
