The theme of this shoot is Komeiji Satori cosplay from Touhou Project. Originally, my expectation for this outfit leaned towards delicate and cute, but upon receiving the actual item, my first impression was unexpectedly like a quiet antique doll. To capture this feeling, after discussing with the photographer, we decided to give up traditional studio shooting and choose an outdoor cosplay session in a garden where hydrangeas and bougainvilleas were in full bloom. The lady boss of Huayutang was incredibly warm, and the venue she provided truly felt like a secret realm in an oil painting. The lighting on the day of the shoot was fantastic, with sunlight filtering through the leaves onto the lace skirt hem. Combined with elements like abundant plants, a marimba, and stone steps, the overall atmosphere surpassed expectations. For the makeup and hair, we tried our best to recreate the character's serene and somewhat detached temperament, supplemented by that iconic red single-eye plush prop, giving the image both a sense of mystery and vitality. The photographer, Chacha, was highly professional in composition and capturing light, and the post-processing by Bingzi also helped adjust the colors and textures, so the final oil painting look aligned perfectly with the initial concept. This outfit styling really tests the scene pairing for Lolita Photography. I am very happy to have had such a shooting experience in a garden, and the final results make for a wonderful Touhou Project cosplay piece.
