[Klee Cosplay] Being a Mondstadt Spark for a Day at the Foot of Lijiang's Yulong Snow Mountain

Unedited raw photos from this Lijiang travel photography shoot for Klee are finally compiled, focusing on leveraging natural landscapes at the foot of the snow mountain to recreate an outdoor atmosphere reminiscent of Mondstadt's countryside.

Upon arriving at the shoot location, sunlight was abundant, with blue skies and white clouds framing the jagged snow mountain silhouette in the distance—fitting this outfit's theme remarkably well. I decided on a low camera angle looking up, capturing more sky and clouds within the frame to create a sense of smallness in vast nature while making the red coat stand out vividly.

In terms of outfit details, I chose a red-and-white coat convenient for movement, paired with a ruffled skirt and tall pieced boots. The backpack used was a small vintage-style leather bag that restored setting details and remained agile during outdoor running without obstructing movements. For the wig, frequent combing was required in strong winds to maintain smooth flow in captured shots.

During filming, local pine trees with stylized shapes provided natural backdrop elements. One set was shot under a tree looking up, using curved trunk contours to adjust posture and visual focal points for interaction with natural flora. Standing before a wooden frame structure yielded another frame; this composition locked the character's back at center, while adjacent colorful rope nets and small mountain bells added rich local travel flair.

The shot on the tiled roof was captured during prime lighting hours. I opted for a semi-side seated posture with extended arms to add compositional tension, with background snow mountains acting as deep backdrop—a natural depth of field without post-processing synthesis that remains rare and precious.

An unexpected bonus of this outdoor shoot was a local farm goat wandering over. During a break, it approached voluntarily; I crouched down to maintain eye level as it settled on the left frame—fluffy and remarkably cute. This genuine interaction, completely free of forced posing, granted the photos vibrant vitality.

Shooting outdoors was demanding; Lijiang's high altitude brings strong UV radiation, where face areas easily overexpose despite blue skies. Frequent adjustments to reflector angles were needed to balance illumination, while wind-driven wig and skirt movements required repeated shutter coordination. Additionally, changing light and cloud coverage altered mountain light and shadow constantly; waiting for a suitable cloud to block direct sun sometimes meant standing at one spot for over ten minutes.

Since the location was an open outdoor area, passing tourists occasionally entered the frame, requiring clever composition to bypass crowds or waiting until people passed before pressing the shutter. Fortunately, Lijiang's natural scenery is grand enough that proper framing naturally fades everyday real-world traces.

This shoot avoided overly complex special effects props, prioritizing raw local ecology instead. High-mountain pines, white sheep, and wooden window frames naturally endowed the character with storytelling depth. The final unedited shots boasted high color saturation, where red, blue, white, and green created delightful visual contrast—rendering heavy post-processing unnecessary for striking straight-out-of-camera appeal.

As a travel photoshoot, encountering such wonderful weather and cooperative animals was truly fortunate. I hope this set conveys a relaxed, free, and spontaneous outdoor adventure vibe—without fancy words, leaving everything to visual light and shadow.
