Returning from the second day (D2) of Genshin Impact Fes, my phone is filled with various snippets. But seeing the returned photos the photographer handed over last night, I was still stunned by the presentation of this costume.

This time I cosplayed Sandrone the Marionette. The overall styling at the venue actually poses a great test for detail, especially the large white petal-shaped headpiece on top and the eye-catching ruby bow tie on the chest. To make it fit the lore setting better, every petal of the headpiece was shaped and supported to ensure it wouldn't deform while weaving through crowds all day. The dark edging around the collar necklace holds the central red stone, and under the professional lighting at the venue, the ruby's reflected luster carries great texture.

Lighting during the D2 afternoon session was quite complex, featuring both cool ambient ceiling light from the hall and various fill lights common in anime convention cosplay photography. Luckily, the photographer captured the contrast in costume materials wonderfully—such as white lace paired with a wine-red corset, and the heavy detachable sleeves on the arms. The beige-gold layered decorations on the sleeves presented a feather-like dynamic motion in candid captures; precisely these small details in props and fabrics allow the character's temperament to stand out firmly even in static photos.

The lower body in full-length photos is my favorite part. The deep navy blue pleated outer skirt combined with the white inner underskirt and gold geometric lines on the skirt surface displays rich layering when walking. The translucent orange drape at the back hem also prevents the overall silhouette from looking thin. To match the overall light luxury and mechanical feel, I chose black platform shoes with red bows, paired with white over-the-knee socks featuring gold stripes. Walking around the hall all day is a big test for shoes, but fortunately they felt comfortable enough to navigate freely between booths.

Looking back at these convention photos, the most precious aspect is actually the ambient atmosphere of that moment. Though scattered crowds and black photo umbrellas are visible through the blurred background, the subject's state is focused yet relaxed. Maintaining a pose belonging to the character in front of the camera while handling crowded convention flows is a unique experience gained every time I cosplay. Especially at such a massive live event, the moment I donned this attire, every detail reminded me that it isn't just an outfit, but a visual and atmospheric restoration of the character.

Genshin Impact Fes is a fantastic platform for exchange. Being able to bring my prepared work to meet fellow fans and have photographers capture these frozen moments is inherently meaningful. Rather than intentionally striking exaggerated poses, I prefer presenting this character's quiet and composed side before the lens. Some subsequent optimizations for this costume are already brewing in my mind, hoping to bring even more complete detail when appearing before the camera next time. That's all for sharing these convention photos for now; looking forward to meeting everyone in different forms at future conventions.
