There are truly a lot of details in this Oguri Cap cosplay costume and wig. To restore her iconic silver-white long hair, I put a lot of effort into the hairstyle. Silver-white wigs are actually very prone to frizziness; I needed to use hair wax and setting spray to pinch those two animal-ear-like hair bundles on top of the head into a three-dimensional hair-flow feel, while also combing out layers in the long hair at the back so it wouldn't look rigid. I also repeatedly adjusted the position of the black metal hairpiece and bangs in front of the forehead.
In terms of clothing, the design of this long white coat is very classic. The blue and yellow striped edges of the sailor collar need to be kept crisp, and the pairing of the red tie and black choker creates a strong visual contrast. The golden pentagram metal pieces adorned on the chest and cuffs are the highlight of the whole outfit, preventing the pure white uniform from looking monotonous. Underneath the coat is actually a cropped midriff-baring top, paired with black long pants and a white belt. During the shoot, to pose like the first picture with a hand blocking the forehead, I had to keep my arms tense all the time so that the coat's wide cuffs and falling hair strands presented a natural dynamic feel. The second pose with clenched fists tests core strength even more, needing to showcase her usual quiet yet explosive aura on the racetrack, and the midriff-baring design also happened to show a bit of line definition.
In terms of makeup, to match the silver-white hair, the base makeup needed to be clean and translucent, with the focus on eye makeup. I wore blue contact lenses, enhanced eyelash density, and smudged the lower eyelid, making the gaze closer to Oguri Cap's focused yet slightly goofy and cute feeling. The ambient light during the shoot was mainly cool blue tones, and the background was blurred, which better set off the unique cold and aloof atmosphere belonging to the training ground or venue. Since the clothing overall leans long and has a certain thickness, wrinkles easily pile up when walking and posing, so I had to straighten out the shape of the hem and sleeves from time to time. This cosplay shooting experience gave me a deeper resonance with Oguri Cap; her figure, which seems ordinary yet can work miracles on the racetrack, is truly very moving.
