[Grinning Professor Cosplay] Retro Hallways and Mysterious Banquets in Blue Archive

The moment I officially stepped into this dark-toned study, the character's vibe was automatically in place. Compared to the lively style of previous campus scenes, this time I used jack-o'-lanterns, red roses, and a distressed retro suitcase to create an exclusive space with a more mysterious Halloween color.

The core of this outfit lies in the dark-colored long smock blouse and the classic sailor collar structure. Complemented by the red bowtie on the chest, it has both the crispness of the preppy style and brings out a touch of elegance and restraint in the black-and-white color-blocking. To recreate the iconic suspended halo, I spent a long time adjusting to the camera lens and prop angles, ensuring it glows naturally in the frame while avoiding looking abrupt due to an angular deviation. Meanwhile, how the cane is held is also crucial; leaning it slightly or planting it vertically, combined with the visual extension of the black tights, elongates the silhouette wonderfully.

I must mention that deep brown tufted leather sofa chair; the old books and candlesticks laid down a warm-toned atmosphere. During the shoot, to present a sense of composure whether looking back over my shoulder or casually sitting down, the photographer and I repeatedly adjusted the direction of the light projection, letting the warm light evenly outline the wig texture and the garment fabric grain.

Speaking of which, when preparing this makeup and hair look, I also intentionally adjusted the eye makeup style. Rather than pure innocence, I preferred my gaze to carry a hint of effortless intellectuality. From a conceptual standpoint, a "Professor" who is even more formidable than a "Sensei" should naturally be someone who remains elegant and in control of the situation under any environment.

Although during the styling process, securing the bulky long wavy wig and preventing the cane from slipping required extra physical stamina to manage, seeing the chemical reaction in the final frame where the retro warm color palette collided with the cool character traits made all the tedious preparations meaningful. In a setting like this, there is no need for overly complex bodily movements; just a gaze or leaning on the cane allows the character's soul to merge perfectly with the background, which is why I have been highly fond of narrative-driven atmospheric photography works in my Anime cosplay and retro cosplay journeys recently.
