[Seed cosplay] Sparkling convention photos record in Zenless Zone Zero

Shooting Seed on-site at BW 2026 this time was really a physical workout, but also extremely satisfying. To restore the texture of this costume, preparations took a long time beforehand. The wig is that kind of eye-catching cyan, specially styled with slight waves, paired with bright blue circle lenses of the same color family, making the overall visual effect very eye-catching. In terms of makeup, the focus was placed on the reddish-pink shading around the eyes, which, combined with fair base makeup, nicely highlights the character's mysterious yet slightly sci-fi temperament.

There are truly many details to the costume; the main white material has a kind of rubbery luster, with the metal ring on the chest, yellow drawstrings, and black straps layered on top of each other. Wearing it required spending quite a bit of time adjusting positions, especially the white long gloves on the arms and the black arm rings, to ensure they wouldn't easily slip off during movement. The tight pants on the lower body are paired with yellow and black strap decorations, and the cutout design at the knees also gives the overall styling a bit more mechanical cutting feel. Because I personally prefer barefoot styling, in the second set of poses I simply took off my shoes and stepped directly onto the white plush carpet, which formed a soft-and-hard contrast with the cold sci-fi style.

The lighting on-site was actually very complex; although the convention hall's overhead lights were bright, the color temperature was quite mixed. To capture that glowing feeling, we deliberately found a relatively dark corner with prominent background blur. The long pole prop and the yellow base installation were important support points for the frame; placing them by my side not only balanced the composition, but the small blue flower bouquet on top also added a bit of vitality to the cool-toned frame. In post-processing, some starry particle effects were added to simulate that sparkling firefly-like feel, making the convention photos look less monotonous.

When posing, considering that the fit of this costume is relatively slim, I tried to showcase the lines by extending my limbs as much as possible. When kneeling, it is important to tighten the core and keep the back upright, allowing the waist curve and costume cut to be better displayed. The photo of sitting on the ground with legs straight actually required a slight push from behind with my hands; although it looks effortless, my core was actually working frantically. To candidly capture these natural convention photos, both the photographer and I were constantly adjusting angles, trying to avoid the crowd in the background as much as possible to make the gaze focus more tightly on the character herself.

The happiest part of cosplaying characters with such futuristic settings every time is being able to piece together many details bit by bit. From the hair strand direction of the wig to the placement of every metal buckle on the costume, and down to the strength of the movements and the transmission of the gaze, it is a process of getting closer and closer to the character. Although the convention photo shoot time was tight, seeing these sparkling finished products made all the exhaustion vanish instantly. I hope there will be a chance in the future to showcase more different facets of this character under even better lighting.
