For this custom design shoot, I deliberately chose a bedroom filled with warm sunlight. The idea behind a custom design is stepping away from high-energy cosplay or school settings to place Marin Kitagawa in a completely relaxed home setting. I specially picked a white sheer lace nightgown and paired it with White short stockings to cultivate an airy, tender texture. Plush toys across the bed, a fruit basket nearby, and even a vintage camera and calendar were thoughtfully arranged to enrich the lived-in ambiance. Framing eye contact was paramount—avoiding stiffness to convey genuine nonchalance, especially when reclining sideways or gazing into the lens, capturing that authentic daydreaming vibe at home.

The first shot is a full-body composition where extending the legs was crucial for visual balance, lengthening proportions while complementing the billowy sheer skirt. The second captures a casual snapshot lying prone while looking at a phone. Because the attire is entirely white, post-processing required precision to prevent blown-out highlights, keeping lace textures distinct while maintaining a warm, healthy skin tone rather than looking pale. While white dominates the palette, wooden textures and colorful fruits provide cozy warmth. The challenge with custom domestic styling lies in making simple loungewear radiate Marin's unmistakable charm while preserving an inviting atmosphere.

Props kept poses dynamic and natural: hugging the plush toy and integrating calendar dates lent subtle narrative depth. Side-diffused soft lighting enveloped the room in golden warmth, demanding dewy, breathable makeup rather than heavy contouring. The blonde wig was trimmed lightly for an effortless, casual drape. We calibrated camera heights slightly above eye level to flatter body lines. Retouching preserved the light, gossamer feel of the white lace without collapsing into flat white highlights, achieving a satisfying balance of natural light and character fidelity in this My Dress-Up Darling set.
