This original concept of Cyrene was aimed at experimenting with more dreamy and colorful collisions based on the original setting. The wig is a custom-blended pink-and-blue gradient, and to match the overall tone, I specially chose purple-pink contact lenses. For the costume, I made a white strapless dress with a waist cincher, featuring a high-low swallow-tail skirt hem. When running or posing, the layering of the skirt hem is very prominent, and the lace and reflective fabric along the edges take on a special sheen in the sunset. The headpiece consists of hand-sculpted white vines and blue-purple flowers with feathers, trying to keep the overall elements rich without looking cluttered.

The shooting process can truly be described as bumpy. For the first two photos, we were chasing the sunset in the woods, constantly racing against time to capture that dreamy feel of the backlight and the pink-purple sky. That bow and arrow prop was really heavy; while drawing the string, I kept my core tightened to prevent my arms from shaking, and my arms didn't feel like my own after the shoot. Moreover, to wait for that supreme evening glow, we stood for a long time by the grass edge infested with mosquitoes. Everyone struggled hard with color grading because the sky was a pink-purple gradient and the wig was also a pink-and-blue gradient, so post-processing color grading required special attention to the color balance between the two. We couldn't make the character's skin tone look too fake, yet needed to preserve the dreamy tones of the sky and hair strands; this part of the color handling really took a lot of thought.

The last two pictures were actually covers casually taken for the neighboring wotage dance shoot. When transitioning to the plastic running track, the sky had already darkened, turning into that moody blue hour. The short design of this outfit paired with pantyhose gave a subtle, wonderful feeling of everyday life colliding with fantasy on the track. Without holding the bow and arrow, the poses became much more casual and relaxed, and I even paired them with platform Mary Jane shoes to lengthen the leg proportions. The lighting of these two photos is completely different from the previous ones, but I think that slightly cool and aloof atmosphere is also quite nice.

Although the entire shoot was exhausting, seeing the final effect made all the hassle feel worthwhile. I really love this feeling of exploring little by little and gradually turning imaginative ideas into reality. From the details of the makeup to the control of the props, and then to picking out the color grading bit by bit in post-processing, the whole process was tedious, but seeing those colorful, vibrant moments captured in the photos brings an irreplaceable sense of inner satisfaction. This original concept was a bold attempt, blending favorite elements together, and looking at them makes me extremely happy. For these few photos, we hauled heavy equipment back and forth between different locations, and the wings of the bow suffered a few bumps, making my heart ache for a while. However, seeing the textures of the props and clothing perfectly presented in the final photos, I felt relieved. While taking pictures on the running track, because there was no outside interference, my state was actually much more relaxed, and I thoroughly enjoyed that feeling of free-spirited expression.
