[Hoshimachi Suisei cosplay] The hololive Big Star's Convention Sortie Log - Image 1

The stellar star sorties to AX! Deciding to cosplay Hoshimachi Suisei at this convention took an incredible amount of physical stamina. To faithfully recreate her light blue twin-tail silhouette, I started styling the wig before dawn, curling the curves of the twintails section by section with a curling iron and locking the bangs with hairspray to prevent frizzing from active movement on the floor. For cosmetics, since the character has striking sapphire eyes, I deliberately picked highly pigmented yet breathable blue lenses, blending wide washes of pink across the lids paired with crisp tightlining and a subtle upward flick at the outer corners to look bright and animated before the lens.

The layers of the outfit are remarkably intricate: the exterior wide-sleeved blue coat is tailored from substantial, structured fabric, worn over a black-and-white striped collared shirt trimmed with delicate black lace at the neckline, tied together with the prominent teal-green satin ribbon bow right at the front. To inject that tactical, utilitarian vibe, I firmly secured the orange accent webbing in place. Once suited up and crowning the look with the black beret, the styling reached peak completeness.

The convention hall was massive and the overhead lights were intense, but fortunately the base makeup held up like a fortress. Following the crowd, I caught the holo EN Gen 4 live stage—the energy was truly explosive! Cheering along and shouting call-and-response chants completely drained my stamina tank; by the end, I felt utterly exhausted. The most taxing part of wearing this cosplay was keeping the twintails pristine around the clock; even flashing a peace sign during photo calls required careful arm placement to avoid crushing the lace collar trims. However, having so many fellow fans stop by to say hi, alongside seasoned photographers guiding poses and firing shutters in perfect rhythm, instantly made every ounce of fatigue worthwhile.

Navigating the floor meant constantly straightening the billowing jacket and complex neck bow to prevent shifting. Connecting with other VTuber enthusiasts and chatting at length about stage performances and garment craftsmanship offered an electric camaraderie that simply cannot be replicated behind a computer screen. Though my feet were aching by the day's end, this ensemble carries unmistakable visual recognition.

That about wraps up today's convention journey; time to wash off the face paint and get some well-deserved rest.
