This time I shot this pink uniform set. What caught my eye at first glance was the color—not a gaudy pink, but a muted pink with grey undertones that really flatters skin tone. The wig chosen was a Mint green wig. I hesitated at first because pink paired with green can look abrupt if not handled well, but in actual styling, because the green of the wig is soft and features bangs with braided details, it formed a great warm-cold and light-dark contrast with the pink, feeling very refreshing. The sailor collar's white trim and black bow tie at the neckline are classic elements; puff sleeve design adds sweetness without making the overall look appear overly juvenile. The skirt is pleated, with black edge trimming making layers clearer.
For shoes, I specifically picked these chunky-heeled platform black leather shoes, paired with black mid-calf socks, neatly cinching ankle lines. I actually wanted to try white thigh-highs initially, but later felt black anchored this outfit better while echoing the bag's color. This brown handbag served as a prop, featuring a leather feel and exquisite golden emblem, carrying a strong academy vibe when held.
The shooting venue was selected inside a large indoor building, featuring expansive blue glass curtain walls and orange-red pillars—a collision of warm/cool and complementary colors that enriched picture hues. The photographer used a wide aperture to blur the background, highlighting the subject while keeping lighting uniform without harsh light, making skin texture look very delicate in this Indoor portrait photography session. The first photo shows standing quietly and running hands through hair to express a gentle, quiet temperament; the second photo attempted a livelier dynamic pose, raising one leg while swinging the bag outward so the skirt hem floated naturally, giving the frame more visual tension rather than looking stiff.
Shooting was actually quite tiring because the bag wasn't small in size, making my wrist a bit sore after holding it for long, and while the leather shoes weren't very high-heeled, maintaining poses required watching my balance. But seeing the final shots made me super happy. With indoor lighting, there was no need to worry about weather, and the blue backdrop really delivered a rich atmosphere. Many people like taking wide-aperture portraits at conventions; actually, mastering background lines and color contrasts can also make photos feel much more thoughtfully designed. This outfit is super suitable for casual street wear or convention walkarounds—not too exaggerated, yet carrying enough recognizability.
I'll wear this outfit again later to attend offline events, where I can try different lighting and angles—such as backlighting or using a flash for side fill light, which should yield distinct effects. This time was mainly to log how this outfit looks when worn, and overall I'm quite satisfied. Hope to shoot more interesting works in the future.
