The location was a relatively secluded cherry blossom grove. To avoid crowds, we arrived early and shot facing away from pedestrian paths. To prevent background distractions, large apertures were used throughout to melt away clutter, retaining only clean silhouettes and light. We waited quite a while for breezes to flutter the tassels; the first shot was static, but once motion kicked in, dynamic vitality emerged.
