[Xishi Cosplay] Summer Coolness by the Lotus Pond, This Blue-and-White Palette Is Perfect for an Outdoor Shoot

Taking advantage of the beautiful afternoon sunshine, I shot this set of outdoor photos in a pavilion by the lotus pond. There are so many design details in this Xishi cosplay outfit, especially the hollow-out neckline design and that small bow. It both preserves her original soft and graceful temperament and introduces many form-fitting improvements in the tailoring. The two pearl pendants on the hair ornaments, combined with the draping blue-green ribbons, sway gently in the wind as I walk, forming a dynamic harmony with the rustling lotus leaves. The gloves are made of semi-transparent white gauze, which doesn't feel bulky to wear but instead adds a touch of dreamy haze. The silver bell charm at the waist and that cloud-patterned pendant create fine, sparkling highlights under the light. Although the outdoor lighting was complex, it actually made these metallic textures stand out even more. For this shoot, we deliberately avoided harsh direct sunlight, utilizing the shadow from the pavilion roof and the surrounding reflected green light to make my skin tone appear more translucent. For the makeup, I avoided overly heavy eyeshadow, focusing instead on elongating the eyeliner and the curl of the eyelashes. Paired with a natural lip color, the overall look comes closer to the game's official illustration, showcasing a fine piece among Honor of Kings fan works. During the shoot, we tried two different perspectives—looking down and staring directly into the camera lens. Which one do you think better fits her shy yet determined personality? Actually, I always feel a bit nervous whenever I wear this costume because the skirt has many layers, and I need to be extremely careful when smoothing out the creases while sitting down. But seeing the flowing and elegant effect in the final photos makes all the minor troubles completely worth it; engaging in Chinese-style cosplay and ancient style photography always brings unique joy. This lotus pond exterior experience was highly comfortable. A gentle breeze blew through the pavilion from time to time, carrying the refreshing scent of lotus flowers, making my entire body relax.
