Taking on Xishi's Silk-Washing Spirit concept was an exceptionally thrilling challenge. To capture Shi Yiguang's nimble, playfully elusive tension, I rehearsed her expressions and poses countless times beforehand. Because Xishi is canonically an airy, water-like maiden, maintaining relaxed physical grace whether standing or seated was paramount.

The blue-and-white color palette looks refreshing and crisp, but the garments actually carry considerable weight—particularly the sweeping skirt hem and high-slit design, where controlling my strides required continuous core engagement to prevent tripping. To recreate that weightless floating effect for the single-leg lift in photo 6, I attempted the pose multiple times, timing the flick of the long ribbon to catch that fleeting moment when the skirt unfurled naturally.

The pink lotus prop in hand was the centerpiece of this shoot. To capture the translucent luminescence of the petals, we paid close attention to lighting. Inside the garden pavilion, natural ambient light highlighted the prop's delicate translucency; later along the tree-lined path in the afternoon, dappled sunlight filtering through the canopy made the lotus's glow act like a natural fill light, enriching the overall frame with clear transparency. The reaching-hand composition in photo 5 was also designed to build an intimate interactive distance with everyone on the other side of the screen.

What I wanted most to master in portraying Xishi was that dynamic sense of playful push-and-pull. Beyond her in-game mechanics of tugging enemies across the field, in lore and emotion she is an elusive, free-spirited maiden just out of reach. In designing poses, I avoided stiff, rigid staging. For instance, in the shot leaning against the pavilion pillar, rather than standing rigidly, I anchored my body slightly against a support point and relaxed my hands, synchronizing with my gaze to create effortless organic charm.

Costume nuances are easily overlooked in photos, but this blue-and-white paneled attire involved meticulous textile tailoring. The upper bodice utilized flowing gossamer chiffon for airy breathability, whereas the high-slit skirt incorporated multiple structural linings to hold its shape. As a result, during the high leg-lift pose in photo 6, my waist had to stay engaged throughout so the fabric wouldn't bunch up awkwardly. Meanwhile, the tassels on the headpiece were another delicate element: walking too quickly caused the tassels to whip against my face and ruin facial control, yet when stopping, they needed to drape smoothly, meaning every step involved micro-adjusting body movements.

The pink lotus prop tied the entire shoot together, representing one of the signature elements of Xishi's hydro affinity. When shooting inside the pavilion with soft, uniform light, the pink glow of the lotus lamp appeared exceptionally tender; later moving into the woods with dappled tree shadows in the background, the moment I reached forward offering the lotus in photo 5, the prop's internal glow and natural ambient lighting created striking visual depth that immediately seized the eye. Interacting with another blue-haired character was equally delightful—sharing the frame didn't need complicated gestures; one looking quietly on while the other bowed her head in thought instantly gave the frame emotional storytelling.

Immense gratitude goes to the photographer for mastering light, shadow, and framing so precisely, allowing me to immerse myself fully into the character. The imagery not only captured her surface freshness, but also froze those spirited, subtle expressions in time.
