Shooting this Hatsune Miku Symphony Snow Miku look was a highly valued creation in my recent plans. A tremendous amount of preparation went into the early stages, from finalizing the theme and customizing the wig and costume to finally stepping into the studio for the shoot.

For the wig this time, I chose richly layered blue-and-white gradient twintails. This hair color beautifully recreates Snow Miku's characteristic cool and elegant texture. At the same time, the matching hair accessories are a major highlight; silver hair clips in the shapes of stars and snowflakes are nestled between the hair strands, and together with the long hair pieces hanging down from the back, they create an effect that possesses both the grandness of a symphony and the lively agility of snow elements.

In terms of the outfit, this white and silver dress features very clever tailoring. The off-the-shoulder design combined with fluffy arm warmer sleeves perfectly fits the winter ice and snow theme while avoiding a bulky look visually. The silver bowknot on the neck and the semi-transparent tulle outer layer of the skirt are embellished with many silver sequins. When the studio lights hit it, the skirt shimmers with starry glints of light. Paired with white over-the-knee socks, high-heeled boots decorated with alternating silver and white straps, and a white garter on the right leg, the focus and layering of this entire blue and white outfit are very clear.

For the makeup, the artist Jiangdong Fangxin Zonghuofan really knows how to capture the character's traits. The base makeup is applied very clearly and smoothly, emphasizing the eye contours. Paired with reddish-purple contact lenses, the gaze becomes exceptionally eye-catching against the blue wig. The blush also adds just the right touch of color, giving the overall temperament an aloofness like an ice princess while still maintaining a lively and vivid radiance.

The set design can be described as the icing on the cake. A white European-style archway paired with a light blue background board set the overall cool white and blue tone. The floor was covered with a thick, textured white plush carpet, surrounded by a large number of white and light blue artificial flowers. Combined with a crystal-clear chandelier and plenty of cascading white tulle, every prop perfectly fits the dreamy atmosphere of an ice and snow symphony.

During the shoot, the photographer used a lens with a certain wide-angle effect. The stretching sensation brought by the wide angle perfectly captured the chandelier, the archway, and the character all into a single frame, creating a very grand visual tension. This look itself is very well-suited for soft, bright, high-key lighting. In post-processing by the editor Bkaaaaa.. (the heavily edited version is indeed powerful), the overall cool color tone was unified, highlighting the ice-and-snow texture and the silver-white gleam of the costume, while preserving the rosy tint of the facial skin to keep the image from looking completely cold.

The filming process was actually not easy. Although the plush carpet on the venue was very comfortable to step on, wearing high-heeled boots and over-the-knee socks while performing various standing, sitting, and stretching poses required intense focus to control body balance and posture tension. The most memorable one is the full-body standing pose with hands on hips; the posture is stretched out, and the center of gravity falls at the center of the frame, creating a highly evocative scene alongside the blue and white flowers and the crystal chandelier in the background. There is also the sitting pose, where the skirt naturally spreads out, beautifully showcasing the layers of the lower half of the outfit.

The final theme for the entire set of photos was set as 'Snow Mix', which truly achieves a wonderful fusion between Hatsune Miku's symphony derivative style and the traits of Snow Miku. Looking back at all the photos, the cooperation across every stage—from makeup and hair to styling, and then to cosplay photography and post-processing—was extremely seamless. A great piece of cosplay work truly depends on the dedicated effort of everyone behind the scenes; whether it's combing the wig, arranging the skirt hem, or making minor adjustments to the camera position, these details are the foundation that allows the final photos to withstand repeated closer examination.
