For this Genshin Impact Kaveh cosplay shoot, we deliberately explored seamless scene transitions from whimsical outdoor settings to vintage retro interiors. To capture Kaveh's essence—torn between high-minded idealism and the harsh realities of daily life—we spent extensive time refining costume craftsmanship, props, and emotional nuance. The blonde wig was styled with precision, particularly that signature blue feather pinned beside the ear; its angle was adjusted repeatedly to ensure it floated with airy lightness even during dynamic snapshots. The costume features extraordinarily rich layering: the golden embroidery and vibrant red-and-blue contrast across the cape served as the prime visual focal point. To avoid appearing bulky on camera, the inner button-down shirt was tailored from crisp, structured fabric, while the black gloves adorned with golden tassels were worn strictly according to canon design—adding exquisite sophistication whenever clutching architectural blueprints or raising a wine glass. For makeup, the reddish-brown blending at the outer corners of the eyes was intensified, paired with subtly arched brows to embody the innate pride of a genius architect.
Shooting the two-person interactions was especially delightful. In the shot where I hand over the blueprint, I channeled that tsundere ambivalence Kaveh always displays: constantly complaining on the surface yet inevitably relying on his partner at crucial junctures. Just as mentioned in the post, Alhaitham lent a helping hand—if their relationship were still as simple as back in their Akademiya student days, Kaveh would probably thank him every few days, but now it has turned into that stubborn awkwardness where words of gratitude get stuck in the throat. To immerse ourselves in this atmosphere, we drew inspiration from the Mihoyo Wonder House set: scattered plush toys and crumpled paper balls around us subtly symbolized discarded architectural sketches and everyday chaotic mess. In composition, I leaned my upper body slightly forward, thrusting the blueprints high with one hand while letting the other hang naturally, creating an inviting visual leading line directed toward my partner to give the image genuine storytelling depth.
Transitioning to the indoor set, the mood shifted to quiet tranquility. Loungeing on the vintage leather sofa with a drink under soft rim backlighting, this slightly languid posture captured Kaveh's unguarded, tender side once work is done. The stack of heavy books alongside the reference volume on the Italian Renaissance served as a charming Easter egg honoring his architectural pedigree. Looking deeply engrossed in reading in Photo 5 was also intended to lend the frame a sense of serene poise. The gaffer utilized a gentle, warm light source to accentuate the rich texture of the leather sofa and the metallic glint of the garment fixtures. Throughout the entire shoot—whether embracing whimsical outdoor wonder or vintage indoor serenity—every choice aimed to embody the artistic passion and proud tsundere flair at the heart of his persona. The metallic components caught the light with exquisite brilliance, validating our careful comparison of materials during prep. Through these images, I hope everyone feels the vibrant pulse of walking between Sumeru's lush rainforests and the Akademiya halls, bringing this beloved character into vivid three-dimensional life.
