Cosplaying Genshin Impact's Lesser Lord Kusanali at Firefly ACG Expo left me truly delighted with the on-site fidelity and overall shoot vibe. Queuing early in the morning, I prepped my wig and props in the restroom first. Styling the white-to-green gradient wig was quite intricate; to achieve that weightless float, I used a curling wand to add subtle waves and misted it with holding spray. The wreath of green foliage and delicate blue floral hairpins added a dainty touch. For makeup, I opted for low-saturation green eyeshadow paired with large-diameter pale green contact lenses, complemented by finely detailed lower lashes and aegyo sal to give my gaze an ethereal, innocent look. The costume craftsmanship is also remarkably detailed, featuring golden star ornaments, vine embroidery across the chest, and cascading ruffles at the cuffs and collar, crafted from gossamer-light textiles that drape with airy grace. The giant green leaf prop looked deceptively simple but was tough to hold—its broad surface caught the breeze easily, tiring my arms over time, yet it elevated the visuals immensely. The shoot took place on the outdoor lawn near the expo hall; despite buzzing mosquitoes, the setting worked wonders. The photographer guided me through varied postures—holding the stalk with both hands in a well-behaved stance, resting my chin on my hands demurely, or catching a candid gasp with a hand covering my mouth—poses harmonizing naturally with the woodland vibe. The convention grounds were packed with spectators gathering round; while initially self-conscious, easing into character dissolved my nerves. Direct midday sunlight was harsh, demanding deliberate post-processing, so we avoided steep downlight by prioritizing side-backlighting or diffused light beneath tree shades. We captured wonderful candid frames of the wig and sheer fabrics fluttering in the breeze. The wig and prop carried noticeable heft in the muggy heat, leaving me drenched in sweat outside, yet reviewing the final edits made every bit of effort worthwhile. The layered pairing of pure white sheer lining under green tulle looked stunning on camera, transforming my presence against the lush foliage. I look forward to bringing different thematic styles to future conventions.
