[Janus cosplay] Azur Lane: Pure White and Light Blue Nautical Girl

I had been wanting to try this white sailor suit outfit even before the shoot. Combined with Janus's iconic light blue hair, it creates a truly pure visual experience. The overall outfit features a cropped design that exposes the midriff, giving it a livelier feel compared to ordinary sailor suits, while a black bow tie and two golden buttons add great texture and detail. The pleated skirt on the bottom paired with pure white tights helps highlight leg and body contours clearly under bright, high-key lighting. The blue wig has a very silky texture, and the long side blue hair braids are actually quite heavy. To ensure they drape naturally without getting messy, I styled them with a bit of hairspray beforehand, and fortunately, the photographer worked with me fantastically during the shoot. The red-and-white striped sailor hat features an exquisite small gold badge, adding great dimension when worn. We prepared many interesting props for this shoot, such as a white grand piano. Sitting on the piano bench allows the cropped waist design of the upper body to be displayed beautifully, with white keys and a white seat accentuating the refreshing feel of the blue-and-white color scheme. The second scene features a plush carpet paired with a white birdcage model and blue-and-white flowers, creating a softer ambiance that made me feel more relaxed. I also held a vintage gilded telephone receiver; I didn't expect such an exquisite antique piece to be quite heavy in hand, but it worked perfectly as a natural leaning prop, adding a touch of laziness to the scene. The yellow sticker in the fourth photo was actually a small accident because post-processing wasn't completely finished, but it turned out quite fun too. The fabric of this outfit was chosen with a subtle sheen, making the outfit's silhouette and layering look especially rich under studio softboxes. Throughout the shoot, I continuously communicated composition with the photographer to preserve key features like the cropped waist, sailor hat, and iconic braids in the frame. From sitting face-forward to leaning sideways, every pose was meant to showcase the character's cool yet gentle demeanor. Even though the weather was a bit warm, shooting a look I love and seeing the bright, refreshing aesthetic I imagined on screen made me truly happy. I feel that in cosplay photography, being able to connect with a character's vitality through costume and photography style is a wonderful connection in itself.
