This outdoor shoot was all about being speedy. After arriving at the venue, there was almost no extra adjustment time; we set up the equipment and immediately entered the shooting state. Today I'm cosplaying Haruka from Arknights. The overall styling has high visual recognition; the pink long hair paired with that very eye-catching large brown bow on top of the head is extremely distinct against the outdoor background. The costume is a reddish-brown plaid patchwork style, with white ruffles processed at the collar and a thin black ribbon tied around it. The straps at the shoulders feature metal fasteners, and the overall details are very rich. To match the pace of the speedy shoot, I completed all the makeup and styling in the car. Because the character's eye makeup needs to be translucent and deep, I used warm orange-brown eyeshadow as a base, matched with highlighter to make the look appear soft, and kept the original mole on the cheek to increase a sense of realism.

The most charming part of an outdoor shoot is the irreplaceable natural light and shadow. This time Jun helped me find several angles, and finally chose to let me lean against a white metal frame. In the photo, I am holding the white pillar, slightly leaning my body forward, with my left hand naturally raised and placed in front of my chest, smiling towards the lens. This pose looks relaxed, but in front of the lens, it actually requires secretly controlling core strength to keep the shoulder and neck lines naturally stretched, and the hand grabbing the pillar cannot exert too much force either, otherwise it will affect the overall visual perception of the picture. To fit the character's temperament, I tried to present a slightly lazy yet focused state. During burst shooting, I would deliberately adjust my breathing frequency to avoid ruining the styling due to shrugging shoulders.

The plaid of this outfit presents subtle color changes under light from different angles, sometimes leaning red, sometimes leaning brown. To prevent ugly shadows from appearing in the frame, we had to constantly adjust our positions. The pink wig easily appears dry under strong outdoor light, so during the shoot, I deliberately asked Jun to lower the exposure a bit, using backlight and side-backlight to highlight the soft texture of the hair strands, while using a reflector in the front to fill in light, keeping the face bright and translucent. Although time was tight, we still tried our best to squeeze out gaps to review the playback, confirming the composition and expression. Adaptability in an outdoor shoot is very important; for example, those white lines and text on the ground, although blurred, would still become distractions in the frame, so the angle selection had to deliberately avoid them.

Every time photos can be successfully produced, the preparation work behind the scenes is not small. From ironing clothes, trimming and combing the wig, to wearing accessories, every link must ensure no mistakes in front of the lens. Producing images is a process of testing detail control; although this outdoor shoot had a very short shooting period, the final light and shadow texture was extremely natural, and the finished photo effect reached the expected state. This fast-paced shooting experience tests both the accumulation of camera sense usually and the tacit understanding with the photographer.
