[Muelsyse cosplay] Arknights Ambience Synesthesia D3 Night Session: Meet by Chance

The photos from the Muelsyse cosplay at the Ambience Synesthesia D3 night session are finally organized. Preparing for this character took a considerable amount of time; a lot of thought went into everything from securing the wig and elf ears to the detailed pairing of the jacket and inner layer. The lighting at the night session was quite complex. Considering the stage lights leaned cool, I deliberately deepened the contrast of my makeup, especially sharpening the eye contouring and highlighting the aegyo-sal so that facial features remained distinct even in low light.

For the costume, I chose a reflective white jacket paired with neon green and black woven straps. Although it was relatively loose and thick overall, it had great layering, and its texture stood out vividly while walking around the venue. During shooting, I made a point of holding the yellow-green umbrella and the staff crafted from assembled cardboard; together, these two props perfectly showcased the character's complete silhouette without scattering the visual center. As for the rabbit plushie, it was a little prop meant to liven up the atmosphere during the first half of the shoot.

The atmosphere on-site was fantastic. Moving along with the evening crowd, handing out the prepared small freebies to fellow Doctors, and hearing people recognize the character—this interactive experience that instantly bridges the distance with other fans is why I love participating in Ambience Synesthesia so much. Considering these photos would be shared, I chose a complete full-body composition as the cover. A key point to keep in mind moving forward is how to prevent wig edges from catching harsh glare under nighttime hard lighting, which requires thorough prep with base work and soft-diffusing adjustments in advance.

I had a wonderful time at the D3 night session. Walking with the crowd, I ran into many familiar faces; everyone gathering in person at this specific moment in time is a deeply ceremonial experience in itself during the Arknights 6th Anniversary. Chatting through all these details serves as a simple log of this journey. Now, it's time to rest up and return to daily mode.
