Cosplaying Wishadel at the Godox booth during Guangzhou CICF this time had an intensely hardcore atmosphere. To achieve that tactical mechanical feel I was aiming for, the fabric choices for this costume were handled with exceptional care. The glossy black material looked extraordinary under the booth's warm yellow lighting, and the silver-gray bodysuit sculpted closely to my silhouette. Paired with the red tactical accents at the waist and the emblem across the chest, the entire post-apocalyptic and futuristic aesthetic was dialed up to the max. The pointed red horn headpiece carries noticeable weight, but on the convention floor, holding onto the character's cold, imposing aura made that weight easy to ignore—as long as the center of gravity on my head was properly set, it stayed rock steady.

So many photographers really gave it their all to find great angles. I even experienced the fierce scramble inside the photo pit myself, kneeling straight on the concrete floor just to secure a front-row vantage point. This outfit is equipped with a massive metallic-finish weapon, which, paired with the mechanical wings on the back, required immense core strength to pose with. For instance, in the second photo where my arm extends forward while fixing a piercing glare on the lens, controlling core abdominal stability was crucial to project that battle-ready tension throughout the body. On the other hand, the slightly softer pose in the third photo aimed to bring out a more nuanced, multi-dimensional side of Wishadel beyond raw combat; crossing the legs slightly elongated the leg lines and let the rim contours of the black stockings catch the light naturally.

The booth lighting was extremely flattering on reflective fabric textures, giving the silvery-white wig a gorgeous rim glow against the warm light. Because the backdrop was filled with yellow industrial elements and caution tape, I kept my silhouette centered in the frame, using the subtle perspective distortion of a wide-angle lens to heighten spatial depth and visual oppression. In an environment as crowded and noisy as a convention hall, staying in character is an essential fundamental skill. From subtle gestures like grazing a strand of hair to locking eyes on camera, everything must hit the mark precisely when the shutter clicks. On the floor, I continuously fine-tuned my poses according to photographer directions—adjusting the blade's angle or twisting my wrist to emphasize the weapon's heavy, solid heft. Even though this was my first time taking on such high-intensity convention shooting, seeing the textures delivered by the lighting and reflective surfaces made the experience immensely satisfying. I hope this techwear and tactical styling of Wishadel shows off a solid hardcore vibe—it certainly feels worth every drop of sweat spent kneeling on the floor searching for angles.

The backdrop set design at the booth was also a massive asset, with industrial wire mesh, yellow oil barrels, and cardboard boxes saving a ton of compositing work in post-production. While posing, I deliberately framed myself using the edges of the set; for example, crossing my arms in front with the weapon braced across my body in the fourth shot took advantage of the foreground yellow crates to add rich depth. As someone obsessed with costume details, I was thrilled by the wear-and-tear weathering and textural contrasts of this gear. In practice, the snug fit of the outfit actually helped ground me in more powerful, anchored stances. To complement the gear, I paid special attention to eye makeup: reddish-brown shadows and sharp eyeliner allowed me to project a much fiercer presence on camera. Time at conventions is always tight and posing space is limited; delivering diverse vibes under pressure is definitely a true test of a cosplayer's adaptability. Walking away with so many satisfying shots was all thanks to the quick eye and guidance of the photographers on site.
