[Luo Tianyi cosplay] Blue Sporty Style: Casual Daily Life of the Silver-Gray Twin-Tails

I was actually quite relaxed when shooting this set of photos. I didn't deliberately try to strike any highly difficult poses; I just wanted to recreate that natural and slightly playful feel of Luo Tianyi.

The wig is long, straight, silver-gray hair. The two looped buns on top of the head took quite a bit of time to secure, as I wanted to ensure they had a 3D effect without looking too rigid. The flow of the hair strands also contours the face shape as much as possible, making the visual effect from both the front and side look more natural.

For the eye makeup, I chose bright emerald green colored contact lenses to match the character's eye color, and used a warm orange eyeshadow for a smooth transition to make the gaze look more translucent and spirited. The lip color is a vibrant matte red, which makes the overall makeup look much cleaner and more refreshing.

For the costume, I picked this blue color-blocked sports tank top. The material is breathable, and the design elements on the shoulder straps and chest fit the character's high-energy setting quite well. Paired with a matching beaded necklace and a light-colored bracelet, the details lean as close to a daily sporty style as possible.

During the shoot, a cool cyan background light was used to contrast with the warm-toned makeup of the character, bringing out the layers in the frame. Actually, every time I do a Luo Tianyi cosplay, I ponder over how to maintain character recognition while adding a little of my own style in interpretation and presentation—such as the relaxation of the gestures or the softness of the gaze. These are balances slowly found through repeated trial shots.

As a VOCALOID Virtual Singer, she inherently possesses strong inclusivity and plasticity, so I never thought this set of photos had to be exceedingly gorgeous; being able to transmit that relaxed, approachable atmosphere is wonderful. After all, when it comes down to it, cosplay is about using your own way to get closer to the characters you love, and the earnestness and joy during the process are what matter most.
