For this Zenless Zone Zero Yixuan cosplay photoshoot, I chose the Trails of Ink styling. The outfit carries substantial tactile weight: the black leather fabric has a wonderful sheen, feels firm and structured, and catches studio lighting with exceptional precision. Underneath, the white shirt is paired with blue floral accessories and gold-trimmed accents, creating rich visual tiers that look exceedingly refined.
The hair and makeup process took considerable thought. To faithfully align with the character's premise, I selected clean, translucent white hair paired with red contact lenses. The facial makeup highlighted a subtle reddish flush at the outer corners of the eyes alongside a cold, piercing gaze—that blend of an aloof, slightly unhinged edge is precisely the character's signature aura. The choker around the neck and the hair ornaments were also carefully adjusted to ensure maximum accuracy in the fine details.
The shooting session tested both stamina and endurance. In the first and second photos, I sat on a wooden chair; wearing Black stockings and high heels while keeping the legs curled for long periods definitely made my thighs ache. However, this pose flatters leg contours remarkably well, bringing out a unique mature charm when paired with the black heels. The third shot was taken on a white circular podium holding a prop card glowing with amber-yellow light. The prop looked great on set, but managing the angle was key to letting the glow fall across my face, which, paired with the drifting long hair, instantly elevated the atmosphere. The final photo was a standing pose, which severely tests straightness of the legs and overall proportions; once settled, I held my core tight and cast a slightly provocative gaze upward from below, perfectly recreating that icy, imposing pressure.
Before shooting, we spent a long time discussing how to capture Yixuan's personality. She is not a purely sweet character, but rather exudes maturity, restraint, and razor-sharp edge. The Black stockings cosplay combination with high heels was the centerpiece of this ensemble, matching the character's temperament seamlessly. With every pose adjustment, we reviewed the viewfinder to ensure the heels and dark stockings showed up in prime condition. I recall testing multiple seated postures on the wooden chair before pinpointing that optimal angle that showed off graceful lines without looking overly staged.
Throughout the shoot, the photographer was incredibly patient, helping me calibrate light from every angle. Because the leather coat was heavy and trapped heat, we took several breaks midway. During these pauses, I reviewed the previous shots to refine facial expressions and fix minor wardrobe flaws. The final photos turned out stunning: the crisp rigidity of the leather juxtaposed against the softness of the hosiery delivered a fierce visual impact. I poured tremendous effort into this Anime cosplay piece, from pre-shoot planning to perfecting gestures on set, striving to capture frames most authentic to Yixuan.
Without leaning on heavy filters, the natural interplay of light, shadow, and garment textures was already captivating. I adore stylings infused with power and mystique. This shoot deepened my connection to Yixuan—that haughty gaze and elegant posture are genuinely mesmerizing. There is so much depth to unpack with her, and I explored fresh camera language through this work. I am thrilled with the final results and hope this cold, elegant presence resonates fully with you.
