This set of Saigyouji Yuyuko cosplay photos is finally sorted out! On the day of the shoot, we specially set up a giant Saigyou Ayakashi scenery, using translucent purple fabrics to simulate the layering and drifting feel of flower petals. Combined with the soft mist effect created by backlighting, the atmosphere was pushed to the max. For the outfit, I chose a modified style with layered lace and tulle designs, which not only preserves Yuyuko's luxurious and ethereal temperament but also makes it easy to move around complex props. The pink tone of the wig was carefully blended, and the curliness was referenced from the fluffy, lightweight texture of the original artwork.

Regarding props, I prepared a skull, a wine cup, and a food box. Although setting them up on-site was a bit hectic, the resonance in the final frames is incredibly strong—especially the composition where she holds a folding fan and looks down in deep thought, which I feel perfectly conveys her nature of seeing through life and death, being detached yet slightly lazy. As an indoor studio session, the lighting setup required the most thought. The main light source came from behind to form a rim light, and a large soft diffusion panel was used in front to fill the face. This kept the tulle translucent without washing out the facial light into dead white, preserving the delicacy of the skin tone and the Anime-style makeup.

Actually, the character Saigyouji Yuyuko has always possessed a very unique charm in Touhou Project. That temperament fluctuating between reality and illusion makes her highly worth interpreting repeatedly through Cosplay photography. During the shoot, we also tried some dynamic snapshots, such as a silhouette standing beside the flower clusters; that sense of quiet solitude perfectly fits the setting. This time, from makeup to set design, we strived for precise recreation while adding a few fine adjustments based on my personal aesthetics, hoping to showcase the Yuyuko under the Saigyou Ayakashi of a Japanese-style fantasy in my heart.
