Cinnamoroll had to work overtime today, so I held it in my arms all afternoon shooting photos, and kept carrying it all the way home. This indoor shoot was arranged around a deep blue velvet sofa draped with a white plush fleece mat. The navy background perfectly offset the pure white outfit and fuzzy plush accessories, keeping the overall frame remarkably clean.
To harmonize with the cozy home aesthetic of Sanrio Cinnamoroll, I opted for dark grayish-blue long hair styled with two round buns atop the crown, paired with a chunky cable-knit sleeveless White sweater. Thick white plush trims were specifically added along the neckline and armholes, accompanied by fluffy plush wristbands, all to elevate the fuzzy, soft texture of the look. For the lower half, I wore white over-the-knee Stockings paired with black glossy patent leather Mary Janes; the black-and-white contrast not only broke up the monotony of pure white, but also sharply defined the leg lines.
The entire shoot was captured on a Hasselblad X2D II, whose color reproduction and resolving power provide immense peace of mind. Under the soft indoor natural light, the Hasselblad lens clearly preserved the cable-knit textures of the White sweater, the delicate strands of the plush accessories, and the blue eyes and brown paw prints on the Cinnamoroll plushie. During the shoot, I shifted through many poses on the sofa—sometimes sitting cross-legged cradling the plush doll, sometimes leaning sideways with a finger tapping my chin. To keep the compositions dynamic, I tried lifting the doll beside my cheek, and in the final shots, even perched it atop my head for a playful, interactive touch.
Since the entire outfit was white, moving across the navy sofa and light wood floor required continuous vigilance over garment folds and wig shape. The knit White sweater has a certain thickness; sitting down or lying on my side required constant adjustments to the shoulder seams and hemline to avoid bulky bunching. The cuffs of the over-the-knee Stockings also needed smoothing to prevent wrinkles from rubbing against the sofa cushions. To flatter the leg lines, I explored various seating postures and leg-crossing angles, turning the session into quite a workout for core stability.
The shifting light from afternoon to dusk prompted some adjustments. Natural light filtered through the side windows, casting rich layers of light and shadow across the navy sofa. I took advantage of the prime lighting to capture several full-body compositions, leaning back against the couch to relax with the plush doll beside me. The entire shoot felt like an immersive experience—no forced acting, just simply hugging a plushie and spending a tranquil afternoon on a soft couch. Wrapping up as night fell, I carefully packed away the plushie and walked home in this outfit; though the night breeze was slightly cool, wrapped in fuzzy warmth, this peaceful and fulfilling creative pace felt wonderfully comforting.
