[Yu Linglong Cosplay] NARAKA: BLADEPOINT Convention Barefoot Photos Share

Getting good convention photos is much more exhausting than imagined, especially when encountering this kind of situation where you need to go barefoot. The convention hall floor is actually cold and hard. Standing barefoot on the ground to pursue the best visual effect is truly a test of willpower and the soles of my feet. However, when I saw these raw photos sent back by the photographer, the previous fatigue was instantly healed. The composition of the first sitting posture actually took a long time to smooth out; the chair was quite narrow, and to maintain balance while striking a pose that looks stretched out and lightweight, the waist had to be straight while the shoulders had to be relaxed. This state of being slightly tense yet relaxed is exceptionally hard to grasp.

The second standing posture is another style, where I'm trying to capture some character traits from the dynamic agility of the costume. The red-base gold-patterned top combined with the white plush sleeve covers makes this color clash and material contrast highly vivid under the live lighting effects. The fluffy animal ears and the plush decorations on the arms look really prominent on-site. It's particularly worth mentioning the design of this high-slit skirt hem; although it looks very beautiful and can beautifully elongate the leg proportions, during the shoot I had to constantly adjust the direction of the ribbons so they wouldn't block the body lines.

This outfit coordination also puts a high demand on physical extension. The upper body tailoring is rather short; the waist-baring, shoulder-baring, and barefoot design, to be honest, has requirements for both height and posture. When encountering the photographer's snapshots, I needed to keep my core tight the entire time, without a single moment of slack. Two seemingly simple poses actually required us to try twenty or thirty times repeatedly before selecting these two that felt the most in place.

During the live preparation and shoot, I tried my best to exhibit the character's tsundere yet naturally slightly cute traits. The red, white, and pink color scheme is highly energetic, appearing exceptionally bright in well-lit areas of the convention. Although today's convention had huge foot traffic and the surrounding area was constantly noisy, the chemistry between the photographer and me was highly synchronized. He knew how to use a wide aperture to separate the main subject under a chaotic background, turning the bokeh spots against the dark background into embellishments for the frame. Whether it was the spotlight bokeh at the top or the reflection on the floor beneath my feet, everything played a great role in building the atmosphere.

Regarding the specific poses during the shoot, the leg positioning on the high stool in the first photo wasn't deliberately forced, but adopted a natural drop with a slightly crossed sense of relaxation, allowing the hand movements to echo the plush decorations on the head. The cross-hand position in the second photo was to increase the tension of the overall styling, coordinating with the flowing feel of the slit skirt hem to perfectly freeze-frame the dynamic moment of the flipping clothes.

Shooting a good piece of convention photos sometimes genuinely requires the right time, place, and people. From smoothing the clothes, securing the plush ear accessories, to expression management while standing barefoot on the freezing floor, every link impacts the final photo output. Although this outfit on me made it completely impossible to predict outdoor temperature changes, fortunately, the indoor environment was ideal enough, making the final presented texture very pure. This chemistry in cooperation and the atmosphere transmitted by the final photos is my most authentic experience of this convention shoot. This represents a wonderful milestone in my 2D cosplay creation journey.
