Pink hair paired with a red bow and elf ears is the core visual anchor of this makeup and styling. The wig adopts a gradient color from pink to coral red, with the hair roots lifted to avoid sticking to the scalp, and large wavy curls on the outer layer. Special attention was paid to the thickness of the bangs when trimming layers, because wearing elf ears means that if the hair on both sides is too thick, it will obscure the outline of the ears. The elf ears are made of soft silicone material; before wearing, the edges are treated with skin wax and special effects glue, and then blended with foundation using a concealer brush, making it basically untraceable from a distance. The earrings chose a style with a string of pearls and a thin gold stem, which can nicely modify the face shape while echoing the overall color tone.

In the eye makeup section, a large area of coral-red eyeshadow was used, focusing on strengthening the blending of the lower eyelid and outer corner of the eye. To make the red look clean and not dirty, a layering technique of small amounts applied multiple times was adopted, with the edges carefully blended out using a clean blending brush. Red contact lenses were matched, and fine shimmer was dotted at the inner corners of the eyes. Eyelashes chose stiff-stem styles, because if the eyelashes are too soft during outdoor backlit shooting, they will have completely no presence. The mole on the cheek was intentionally painted on; its position and size were considered in advance to add a bit of character recognition and playfulness. The blush was applied heavier than daily makeup, layering two colors to increase layering, because the camera eats up color under strong natural light. The base makeup focuses on being light and breathable, but the setting spray used an oil-control model to ensure the durability of outdoor shooting. The lipstick chose a deep red moisturizing style to highlight lip fullness.

In terms of clothing, the white zipper jacket has a subtle shimmering texture on the surface, with black horizontal zipper pockets on the chest. The red-and-white striped scarf is tied somewhat loosely and shouldn't be too rigid. The neckline of the blue inner layer has semi-transparent white lace ruffles, revealing thin black shoulder straps on the shoulders. Since the jacket material is relatively crisp, it won't look limp and cling to the body on camera, which is a big bonus. During the shooting process, it was found that the jacket's zipper pull reflected light severely, so the angle was adjusted to avoid direct light.

The outdoor location was chosen at a platform with glass and metal structures. The sunlight is abundant, and the blue sky and distant urban architecture become a natural background. Strong light forms clear shadows on the face, enhancing the overall three-dimensionality. However, it is very windy outdoors, and the wig is prone to flying around, requiring constant grooming. The blending boundaries of the eye makeup also need attention; once the boundaries of the red eyeshadow are unclear, it easily looks like one just cried. A slightly upward-tilted posture was adopted during shooting, which can highlight the jawline and the angle of the elf ears. The overall photo tones are basically straight out of the raw camera, with only slight adjustments to exposure and contrast, preserving the true texture under natural light. The makeup loses a bit of color under strong light, which is normal, so the color concentration during pre-makeup needs precise control. Every time portraying a character with such special props, the preliminary preparation time is much longer than usual, especially the wearing of ears and the fixing of the wig, which require repeated adjustments to achieve the most ideal on-camera effect. This overall makeup and styling performed very well under outdoor natural light, and the details of the props and clothing stood the test of the lens.
