This selfie, taken by mounting my phone directly in front of the mirror, is the fitting record of the Kotori Itsuka cosplay spirit outfit look I’m sharing today. After putting on the full set of this costume in the dressing room today, my first instinct was to record this state in front of the mirror. Compared to the meticulously crafted atmosphere of a studio shoot, this casually snapped state directly presents what the costume looks like under natural lighting and in a daily environment. The most attractive part of this Japanese-style spirit outfit to me lies in its ethereal pink-and-white lightness. The outer thin gauze blouse not only has a great drape but also carries a subtle red gradient dye, preventing the overall styling from being too monotonous. Furthermore, the lace-up ties on the chest and the black metal ring embellishments inject a touch of rugged visual impact into the weightlessness, allowing anyone who puts it on to instantly find the aura belonging to this character.

I spent more time styling the wig than I imagined. That unique long red hair strand on top of my head required repeated adjustments to stand naturally. Wearing the pink animal ears styling on both sides also requires care; it must not only be secure but also cooperate with the position of the hair so that it doesn't look awkward from this angle. This pair of wooden platform flip-flops matched on my feet is also a key prop that significantly elevates the completeness of this look. After putting on the white socks and geta, my standing posture involuntarily adjusted itself, which kept me observing myself in front of the mirror for a long time.

Many friends easily overlook foot details when doing cosplay makeup and styling, but I feel that the footwear section often determines the balance of the lower half of the entire final piece. Although the shoes this time aren't high heels, the platform design makes the leg lines look much more slender. Slightly adjusting my sitting posture while taking photos can better showcase the layers of the top and skirt hem. Additionally, the ancient-style character painting screen behind me actually gave me excellent background support, keeping the entire image free from an empty, out-of-place feeling. Placing the phone dead center with a slight tilt takes care of the full-body proportions without being disrupted by the adjacent clothing racks. To be honest, when preparing a set of photos usually, the early-stage fitting and adaptation are truly energy-consuming parts. Because this spirit outfit features a lot of lace, thin gauze, and metal decorations, I have to be extremely careful when putting it on and taking it off to avoid snagging the fabric or dropping accessories. However, once all these tedious steps are done and I stand in front of the mirror wearing it, all the fatigue dissipates into thin air. Whether the clothes fit well and whether the color scheme looks good can all be seen at a glance under natural light. This lightweight phone selfie perfectly captured the original texture and luster of the costume.

Regarding the costume colors, the pink-and-white base tone paired with black accents is indeed a highly classic coloring method, and it is relatively easy to complement one's skin tone. Coordinating with this long pink hair, the color saturation across the overall visual is just right. While taking this photo, I intentionally leaned my body forward a bit, allowing the outer thin gauze to drape down naturally to reveal the main inner neckline, while my legs could present an appropriate extension in the mirror reflection. Shooting in this state doesn't require forced professional poses; just sitting simply and combing through my hair reflects the casual side of this outfit much better.

As for the lighting, the dressing room utilizes warm-toned overhead lights, which form a natural highlight when hitting the hair. I intentionally chose to stand where the light is relatively concentrated, so the skin color looks more natural and the fine details of the costume won't be blurred by shadows. When composing the shot, I chose to slightly expose one side of the shoulder strap, which brings a touch of subtle sexiness without looking overly exposed, aligning perfectly with the spirit outfit's temperament of being somewhat luxurious yet not overly ostentatious. The soles of the shoes are made of black wood material with a great texture, though they are indeed a bit stiff, making a relatively crisp footstep sound when walking, which offers an immersive sense of embodiment.

As a member who loves cosplay, I hold immense respect for the styling details of each character. Through this selfie recording this spirit outfit set, I also hope to transmit this passion of recreating the character. Whether it is the tailoring of the attire, the texture of the accessories, or the matching of the hairstyle and footwear, a lot of effort went into the initial selections and coordination.
