For this styling featuring a pink sheer gauze swimsuit and twin-tailed cat ears (Catgirl), the location was chosen at Chimelong Water Park. The overarching direction leaned toward a breezy summer water-fun theme—rather than a specific canon persona, it was more of a stylized creation harmonized with the park's vibrant atmosphere. To match the semi-translucent pink cover-up and the cartoon pony graphic innerwear, I deliberately wore purple contact lenses, embellished the eyes with fine glitter and soft pink blush, and placed a tiny faux beauty mark beneath the left eye to project an energetic, playful presence before the lens.
Shooting at a water park tests physical stamina and makeup resilience far more than anticipated. The sunlight was exceptionally intense; to maintain even facial illumination, we were very deliberate with reflector angles. Given the bustling crowds and saturated ambient colors, the photographer shot with wide-aperture lenses to melt the amusement rides into creamy background bokeh, ensuring the visual focus remained squarely on the subject. For this set, I held a translucent pink inflatable swim ring as our central prop. This prop not only enriched chromatic harmony, but also provided tactile interaction during poses, avoiding awkward hand placement. The first shot was captured kneeling on a white lounge chair glancing back over the shoulder, twisting the torso subtly to let the waistline contour naturally beneath the sheer gauze. The second frame shifted to a frontal seated pose—one hand lightly touching the cat-ear headband with crossed legs stretched out to elongate the visual lines, gracefully spotlighting leg contours and the layered garment textures.
Under harsh outdoor daylight, preserving an immaculate makeup finish is vital. Because I walked barefoot across loungers and deck floors, my toenails were prepped with matching pink polish to sustain tonal consistency. Between high ambient humidity and heat, bangs and twin tails easily wilt or frizz up, making extra-hold styling spray and wig conditioner indispensable. The outer garment was crafted from transparent sheer gauze with airy puff sleeves and ruffled hems that billowed organically in motion. To prevent soaked gauze from clinging awkwardly and spoiling the silhouette, we intentionally staged this Swimsuit cosplay in dry zones, catching only subtle splashes along the perimeter.

From wardrobe curation and makeup design to on-set posing direction, the entire experience was a delightful summer memory.
