I've finally sorted out this photo set for Xiao Zhuang. Taking advantage of the good weather this time, I went to an outdoor venue with lush greenery and traditional Chinese garden features, which felt like a perfect match for the temperament of this costume.

Let's first talk about the overall makeup and styling. The wig features a design that gradients from black-green to an orange-red at the tips. The blunt bangs are paired with a pair of red beast horns on top of the head, and along with the elf ears styling, the entire setup heavily tests the craftsmanship of the hair stylist and makeup artist. For the face makeup, I specifically chose a pair of light blue colored contact lenses to highlight the cool, aloof gaze. The eye makeup uses red-brown tones for blending, balancing the character's innate crisp sharpness with my personal gentleness, making the three-dimensional contours of the face look more natural.

The layered depth of the entire outfit is excellent. The off-the-shoulder inner top and the black-and-white arm sleeves not only allow free movement but also showcase the neck and shoulder lines beautifully. Especially the golden metallic-textured breastplate armor and red cord decorations on the chest—the details are maxed out, reflecting different lusters under the sunlight. The belt also features a geometric color-blocking design, which, along with the loose gray-green trousers on the lower half, presents a unique sense of Chinese-style fantasy without looking bulky. Paired with these thick-soled ankle boots, I stood very stably even when stepping on the rocks, aligning perfectly with the theme of this outdoor scene shoot.

This shoot was set in a garden featuring traditional Chinese architecture, streams, and stone railings. The vibe in the photos is all about that leisurely, carefree feeling of strolling through the woods and by the water. In the first image, I'm leaning against the wooden railing on a bridge, slightly resting my chin on my hand, attempting to capture a casual yet composed state. I really like the shot where I sit on a rock by the stream, with the babbling water and lush greenery right behind me; the light-dark transitions brought by the outdoor natural light make the costume's texture feel exceptionally authentic.

The outdoor shoot process was painful yet joyful. Because the costume features quite a few hard metal plates and strap designs, I had to be constantly careful not to get snagged by branches when walking around outdoors, especially when traversing the dense foliage of the woods. Yet, seeing the captured frames in the viewfinder made me feel that all the trouble was entirely worthwhile. This side-angle behind-the-scenes perspective is quite casual; it doesn't have the heavy, manicured atmosphere of polished, fully retouched images, but instead better showcases the colors and emotions the character ought to have in a real environment. The texture presented under natural light is very translucent, and the color combination of red, green, gold, and white pops out dynamically against the natural surroundings.

I deeply enjoy the process of shooting under outdoor natural light, as the light and shadow at different times of day imbue the images with completely distinct narrative textures. I hope this sharing allows everyone to feel the character's charm in a natural environment, and I hope these recorded costume details and outdoor shooting reflections bring a little surprise to you all.
