[Emilia cosplay] Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World- Crystal Gown Casual Photoshoot

The preparation process for shooting this Crystal gown went very smoothly. The material of this outfit is semi-sheer organza with exceptional translucency. For the shoot, we specifically picked an outdoor architectural location featuring classical stone pillars, carved benches, and expansive steps, as this high-contrast environment naturally highlighted the sheer texture of the skirt.

In terms of hair and makeup, the wig was layered to better conform to Emilia's straight, long hairstyle. The pointed elf ears are made of silicone, offering a snug fit without slipping off, and look visually striking against the silvery-white hair. This gown has abundant strap and sleeve details; in fine weather, the sunlight penetrates the sheer fabric, casting water-wave-like refractive light spots across the skirt, demanding precise lighting capture.

After consulting with photographer Xinglan, we mainly opted for side backlighting. For instance, in the shots seated on the bench, natural light and shadow were used to elongate the body silhouette. In the final wide-angle shots standing on the stone steps, the vast architectural perspective was utilized to stretch body proportions while letting the skirt billow in the wind. We also faced quite a bit of wind during the shoot; to capture the best flowing effect of the skirt, we took extra time.

I particularly love the frontal composition sitting on the white bench in the third shot—aligned right with the light, the leg lines and the overall ensemble look remarkably harmonious. This photoshoot was a great experience, representing a solid cosplay creative journey that documented the harmonious fusion of the crystal texture and classical architectural scenery.
