[Emilia cosplay] The silver-haired elf at the peak of the snowy mountain - Image 1

This time, choosing to shoot against the large background of a snowy mountain was actually to fit the character's environmental setting. The shooting process of this set of photos can be said to be painful yet happy. The altitude is relatively high, and although the air is transparent, it is also very thin, and the ultraviolet radiation intensity far exceeds that of flat ground. This outfit has many layers, especially the corset design on the upper body and the pleats on the skirt hem, which need to be fixed layer by layer when wearing to ensure they won't deform during large movements. The white fabric easily absorbs light under strong illumination, so the exposure was constantly adjusted during the shoot to strive to restore the purple piping and texture details on the clothes.

This white-and-purple color-blocked dress has a great texture; the outer layer has a certain thickness and drape, while the lace trim of the inner lining shows subtle light and shadow changes under the light. The matching white over-the-knee stockings and white chunky heels visually straighten the leg lines very much. To capture this classic pointing-to-the-sky action, the photographer found a relatively low angle, utilizing a large area of blue sky negative space to make the action look more dynamic and tense. Under strong light, the white stockings have a slight translucency, making the purple pattern on the edges appear clearer.

The wind at the site was quite strong at that time, and the hair and skirt hem were often flying around randomly, so I had to wait for a gust of wind to pass and quickly press the shutter. During side lighting, the edges of the clothes would have a beautiful rim light. During retouching, in order to retain this crispness of direct sunlight, not too much soft-light processing was done; it mainly pulled back the details of the highlight parts, making the blue of the sky purer and the gray-white tone of the snowy mountain cleaner, thereby accentuating the character's colors. Actually, shooting on a rooftop at such a high altitude is not only a test of the model's expressiveness, but also a challenge to the photographer's light control ability. Because the ambient light is too strong, without fill light, shadows easily appear on the face, so reflectors were used to balance the lighting ratio. The feature photos will be released slowly, and everyone can look forward to more displays of clothing details and different perspectives.
